Okay, so, Gabrial (a merian) is in Mag. He refuses to answer. So I declare, conjuctio, and take him out of the city. He then attacks me w/ transfix and cosmicfire. Azeal is with me, so he declares, and kills. Folken then defends Gabrial, someone who he doesn't even know, and summons Azeal into the Serenwilde, where I can't summon him out.

=\\ That's crap.

Aside from being just 110% censor.gif RP... Declare should be room-only. And people should be pacified for abusing crap like that. wink.gif

EDIT: Watch your language. ~Shiri~
Shamarah2005-03-06 22:17:56
Obviously Folken and Gabrial knew eachother, because you have to be allied to defend.

And declare should most certainly not be room-only. What about ranged attacks? And what about declaring before you actually run headlong into a room with your enemy?
Shiri2005-03-06 22:20:47
:/ Does this want to be in Idiots?

Anyway, Shamarah, do you mean they have to be MUTUALLY allied, or just one way?
Shamarah2005-03-06 22:27:15
The target has to have the defender allied.
Faethan2005-03-06 22:34:02
Wow, you're nice enough to lead them out of the city rather than killing them, and this is the crap you get for it?
Erion2005-03-06 22:37:37
Yeeep. I'm more just irritated by the defend/summon. ohmy.gif
Summer2005-03-07 10:03:38
Heck, just enemy and kill them next time. Save yourself all the grief. Hard to believe Erion's so nice though blink.gif
silimaur2005-03-07 13:28:30
gabrial is just annoying and needs to sort himself out, he attacked me while he was part of celest and i wouldnt be surprised if he did everything he could ti ruin other peoples lives, he obviously has never heard of roleplay
Erion2005-03-07 21:41:57
Oh, I know who Gabrial is. It was out of an OOC kindness that I conjuctiod and took him out of the city. However, I don't think I'll let OOC prudence override IC like that again.

I just felt bad, he'd finally gotten unbanned, too.
Terenas2005-03-07 23:16:46
Considering that 1) Gabrial wasn't enemied to Mag, 2) Erion isn't really in a leadership position in Mag to actually requests someone to leave. It's great that he tried to get him out in a non-violent method, but considering he had no reasons to attack Gabrial in the first place, Gabrial had the reason to defend himself.
Erion2005-03-08 01:28:17
I guess, not being Mag, you don't understand.

Mags hate Merians and Elfens. Erion sees Merian. Erion tells him to leave. He ignores. Declares/conjuctios/takes out of mag. Loses him. Tells him not to enter Mag. Is ready to leave. Gabrial attacks.

There's a difference between defending yourself, and attacking someone once they've lost you outside the city.

That's just trying to be cheap, to avoid Mag laws. He is, from Erion's point of view, Merian trash. And, because he's Erion, and given Erion's past, he has a strong desire to prove himself to be more than just a Merian. So Merian leaves the city. Aside from this, a few people had mentioned him on CT, etc.

However, the point is, Gabrial attacks Erion, Azeal defends Erion, someone apparantly randomly summons Azeal into Seren and kills him.
Sylphas2005-03-08 01:43:33
Making declare/defend local area only sounds like it would work, to me at least. I could be missing some massive loophole, but do you really need to declare/defend from across the continent?
Drago2005-03-08 01:43:44
You should have allied Azael and then Azael could have just defended you.

Alternatively you could have just, you know, killed him.
Erion2005-03-08 01:44:36
I had declared first, to conjuctio him to take him out.
Archthron2005-03-08 01:55:44
If declare was area-only, it would really pose a problem for moon covens. I mean, they can attack across the continent, but they wouldn't be able to without declaring, which they can't do under that system.
Erion2005-03-08 01:56:59
I think defend should only be area-only. It'd be stupid for someone to be able to defend/killing moon someone anyway.

Erion, in case you didn't realize, I'm not talking about IC racial discrimination. The fact of the matter is that he was not -enemied- to your city, and unless Mag enemied him beforehand, any attacks that was directed against him was a personal attack and he has rights to defend himself, if this was Achaea, he could issue you as well (thank god it isn't). But my point remains you cannot blame him for attacking you back considering he was not a city enemy, and you do not represent your city in anyway by trying to get him to leave. Furthermore, as you are not a city official, only a citizen, your request for him to leave holds little to no significant since he was not provoking you in any ways.
Erion2005-03-08 02:44:51
I really, really don't think that was my problem. My problem is that Azeal kills Gabrial, and seemingly unrelated Folken summons him into the Serenwilde and kills him. My problem is more with long-distance defends, especially in that manner.
Erion2005-03-08 02:45:45
And, for the record, had he smarted off before I'd taken him out of the city, I'd have killed him. I just didn't have Faeleaf off, and since it's a credit-whored char, and trans jeweler, transfix wasn't fun.

Azeal was enemied to the Seren for taking several farmers from Estelbar earlier in the month. I was talking about tackle and summons on GT when I saw Gabrial come up in deathsense. I am a man (or cow, as it were) of opportunity, and tried to summon Azeal. Just so happened it worked. It was not a case of ally defense, I just happened to hold a grudge from Estelbar, and was able to summon Azeal, and tackle him into the Seren boundaries where he was in enemy territory, and kill him. Same has happened to me three times now with magnagoran guards.
