Now say there was a team FFA between two cities or guilds. Lets say the geomancers entered. All the geomancers (say 5) enemy all the other enemies and stand in one room, the lests say Aquamancers come for them, presumably as a team so that they have a better chance of surviving and all the geomancers do boulderblast. Now that hits all enemies so everyone just took a attack from the geomancers which would do somewhere in the realms of 3000+ damage to each person.
Now something about this does not quite sound right to me..... In Aetolia Enorian is unbeatable because the Luminaries and the Daru boast some of the best fighters and do the same with shine (which is automatic, not a attack with similar effects) while doing 1400 damage tekura combos and spirituality smiting.

The aquamancers can do exactly the same thing back to the geomancers.
The conflict between Celest and magnagora, if it were made into a team ffa, would entirely depend on who made the first mistake.

Yeah, Aquamancers have hailstorm which is, for most purposes, like boulderblast.
And everyone would just end up sitting in demesnes anyway, probably.

How about they all just reflect themselves, walk up to the room near the Aquamancers and then cast it into the room? Anyway I did not know the aquamancers had hailstones but really it is overpowered, when it comes to fighting mages like myself are much much more powerful than knights most of the time anyway. Guess it is to make up for lack of armour and relience on mana.
Vix2005-03-06 23:17:23
Once you attack something with a reflection up, the reflection disappears.
Unknown2005-03-06 23:38:02
I know that it is so they do not get the first blow before you bombard their room.
Shamarah2005-03-06 23:40:56
Either way, the mages would be walking into an opponent's demesne.
And it'd only take one hailstorm to get rid of all the reflections anyway.

Or you could, you know, just shield.

how come the Hartstone done have some kind of storm-blast thing like that?...i always feel that there is so much left out of our slills compared to the mages
Drago2005-03-07 00:14:58
Because you don't need one?
silimaur2005-03-07 13:33:31
well if there was a team ffa most of the knights would go out straight away as we have no chance really against a load of demenses and mages
Unknown2005-03-08 00:44:35
Aquamancers can reflect themselves too... the two guilds are almost exactly the same besides cosmetics.

i'd like to know what your reasoning is on why the mages would -need- one and not druids
Erion2005-03-08 02:18:00
Because Hartstone demesne kicks arse, and can single handedly kill people, unlike say a geo's? Even I can run from a Aqua's demesne. But I have a hard time running from a Drood's. Done it occasionally when hunting for deer in the Seren, but, still. It's hard.
Drago2005-03-08 02:28:43
As Erion said, unlike every other Demesne, yours has the biggest potential for holding someone still. You have a passive attack which draws people into the trees (from the skies as well).
The worst you have to contend with in an Aquamancer's demesne is freezing (oh no), stun and occaisional paralysis. The aquamancer has to pull you to the ground themselves.
Geomancers you need to deal with.. prone and broken limbs.. oh no.

And Chasm from Geo's... You can Geyser someone out of the sky easily enough and staff cast is worth a high level of geomancy anyway. Geo's can also kill fairly easily aswell. We do not have the best Demesne but we do have good skills, runes are good at inflicting and illusions can be a great skill. Combat and High magic are available also along with discipline and other skills. Most classes's have all of them anyway but Geomancers should not be rated on simply the Demesne which us Viscanti regenerate health and mana level 3 in. It would be nice to have a few more skills while in it but im happy enough, I dont think there is anyway your opponent can stop you burrowing to heal while in it and Chasm is pretty good...
Silvanus2005-03-08 05:36:34
Alexa.. you are 0% my might. You probably just got Geomancy.
You have no clue what you are talking about.
