Well, I am trying for new weaponry. I want weapons with a higher damage rating than the ones I have now, which are, with Great Runes of the Vernal Knight:

148/175/185 (broadsword)
139/178/191 (longsword)


I had a broadsword done up with 155/155/153, which seems pretty good considering with the same Great Runes it would be 170/170/168, however, I could also try for one with higher damage and less to-hit.

How much does to-hit affect a weapon, at any rate? And should I keep this weapon, which is very well-balanced across the board, or try for something with more damage and less to-hit?

EDIT: Side-note: I don't count on forge runes for an additional +10 to stats. I am not a forger, else I would.. but given that I have to suppose that someone would be available to provide me with them, I don't -count- on it. It's great to have when I can get them.. but given that I cannot guarantee getting them on my weapons, I don't add the modifiers to the stats.

Update: Just had a new sword done up.. 156/137/170.. with Great Runes: 171/152/185.. -sway-

Which is the better keeper?

Keep em both and keep reforging another set to see if you can get even higher?

Well, with forge runes, if I wanted to count them into the mix, the latter sword would have stats of 181/162/195.

How can you go wrong with 181 damage at 195 speed?

How much better can I get? The 463 cap means that in order to Rune them at all, I have to take those stats and shift them around.. if I raise to-hit I have to lower damage or speed.

152 is a good base to-hit sans forge runes. I really don't think that going less than that would be a very good idea. Damage and speed.. I can have higher damage and hit slower, or good where it is.. still high damage, but with incredible speed.

I think these are going to be quite nice, once I have them completely finished.

As always when someone has really good weapons.......you're overpowered

You should keep what you have and give me new great runes so I can do 1.5k a combo too

My sowrd are:
A dark steel broadsword - Damage: 156 To-hit: 164 Speed: 152
A dark steel broadsword - Damage: 154 To-hit: 159 Speed: 171

Those are without any runes.

Those are from the days of super weapons too, that started with 550+ months of use. 440 when I sold them to you I believe.
