What if Flow was set to prevent us from flowing into enemy territory? It's getting mighty irritating when some little brat's running around the commune, enemied, yelling insults, then snorts spores/teleports nexus back to the Moonhart, I flow, and die. >.o

After happening twice now, I just realize that, especially with us using flow as a major means of tracking down our enemies, it's just irritating as hell when they snort back to Seren juuuuuuust before I flow. =\\
Shiri2005-04-28 22:28:15
Nothing stops you teleporting into enemy territory and making the exact same mistake.

I don't see why it would be changed for flow just for this.

EDIT:
1) Go into trees and stuff before you flow. I don't think totems hit you there, and I know unless you get blown out of the trees guards won't. (We have centaurs in most places, not hags, and I'm not sure if hags NOTICE people in the trees and air, or just follow them there.)
2) Get thirdeye or a scry enchantment like we have to. :/

Oh man, that's hilarious.

No? That would null the ability to quickly get back with your forces again if you died while raiding Glomdoring or Serenwilde.

And I agree with Shiri, if someone is just coming in and yelling insults and snorting to run back, then talk to SW's leaderships. That would involve a lot less works than asking for flow to be restricted.
Nyla2005-04-28 22:32:50
It will all be solved when we can bond the totems.
Malicia2005-04-28 22:37:40
Get yourself killed and you want to have the skill d/g'ed. I wish you guys didn't have wisp or flow period.
Richter2005-04-28 22:39:28
It's fine as is, we just need totems.
Elryn2005-04-28 22:52:31
Even with the entire forest covered in fully bonded and runed totems (yeah, like that's going to happen), they still don't hit in trees/air, do they?

Also, Erion has a good point. Unless it is changed, flow will become insanely dangerous to flow to attackers when they can simply run in, cause a denizen to shout for help, and then return to a totemed, guarded location in enemy territory ready for the defenders to flow in response.

I don't particularly like this solution, I would prefer the Glomdoring/Serenwilde insta-raid possibility was removed or restricted for everyone, rather than forcing both organizations to be excessive with their enemying. A barrier around each commune or being able to flow only from appropriate forest type would be more helpful, in my opinion.

I'm just waiting for the Glomdoritos to give you Seren a taste of your own medicine once they get their druids and assemble a decent fighting force. You'll be crying SO hard and I'll be laughing because you won't be able to stand the fact that someone can use your own skills against you. Prepare thyselves!

Edit: And then AFTER you guys are left twitching and writhing in suffering and pain, will the skill be changed. Only after you experience PAIN.
Silvanus2005-04-28 23:20:53
I dislike any Seren who wants to downgrade Flow now, even though they gladly used it before to kill Magnagorans.

Do not downgrade Flow or Wisp until Serenwilde has felt it.

Then Serenwilde could bitch all they want.
Elryn2005-04-28 23:30:31
Magnagora isn't forest.
Murphy2005-04-28 23:59:24
I can just imagine it now, wisped into a retard vibe with the ents going at you, and a geomancers demesne active (or druid)

Then geomancers stand the next room out and hit you with a couple of runes and staff....lovely!
Revan2005-04-29 00:03:43
Stop it Murphy, you're making me all tingly
Murphy2005-04-29 00:08:21
it's be more painful that Ravin's conquest of group boulderblasts
Revan2005-04-29 00:10:35
I should use Ravin's little code for the Geomancers again. I still have it, and could easily implement it into Geo group combat again.
Murphy2005-04-29 00:11:56
specialy with the recent additions to the geomancer ranks, could be very usefull especially now boulderblasts only hit enemies
Elryn2005-04-29 00:13:41
What nonsense.

Anyway, the sooner flow between the communes is restricted, the better.
Athana2005-04-29 00:13:51
What happened to Ravin anyways? He was kinda cool wub.gif

Just kidding Rev!
Revan2005-04-29 00:14:31
No, Elryn. First you must feel pain.
Elryn2005-04-29 00:15:31
Um, I'm a non-Magnagoran, and I'm a Faeling.

I think that's quite enough.
