Intellegence or not?

Back to Common Grounds.

You tell Hajamin, the Golden Lord, "Out of curiosity, are You Tae'dae?"

The Divine voice of Hajamin, the Golden Lord echoes in your head, "Excuse me?"

You tell Hajamin, the Golden Lord, "Well, I just assumed with the lack of proper Lusternian, that You might be the Golden Lord of Tae'daes.. Tae'daes being of lesser intelligence. Course, in the case You may be, I'd take back my statements about it in an offensive way."

A bolt of burning blue fire slams into the ground near where you stand, a warning from Hajamin. The next one may not miss...

The Divine voice of Hajamin, the Golden Lord echoes in your head, "Do not atempt to insult the intellegence of Divine."

You tell Hajamin, the Golden Lord, "Oh, of course not, intellegent One."

I simple adore this God. Bring it on, Golden One!

Llexyn, darling, I <3 you. I've been all busy and stressed this weekend, then logging on to see all that just made my day happy.gif.
Hajamin2005-03-14 03:17:55
Not a wise thing to insult gods, Ask Murphy.
Unknown2005-03-14 03:19:11
They have done this to every divine, they didn't like; Terentia, Isune, Lisaera and Auseklis
Murphy2005-03-14 03:20:58
erm I dont see how I insulted Hajamin.......someone explain? I didn't call him names, nor did I attack him. I just disagreed with his ideas and didn't shut up when told to.

Silvanus2005-03-14 03:21:16
Uhh.. we didn't insult Lisaera when she first arrived. Auseklis was already here before.

We don't like Lisaera's ordermembers.

We don't know any Auseklis ordermembers, and I've never seen a shrine to dust.

Spitting in his fulcrux? Calling his stead food?
Silvanus2005-03-14 03:22:45
Everything's food... he has carrion.

Bricriu2005-03-14 03:39:56
<3 Llexyn. I love you.

I think in Lusternia there's been an unprecedented amount of disrespect towards the gods. Maybe it's because it's a far more conflict-driven world than some others, maybe it's because the atmosphere isn't like Achaea, where there's 3000 idiots, and some fool is getting zapped every day... I dunno.

However, some of the things (even stupid little ones) that we've seen as players lead us to not really take the divine too seriously ICly.. and that's kind of a shame.. the overall quality of RP isn't up to the player characters alone. The gods are playing parts too, and people will take notice, and exploit every imperfection they see.

I think that even though we know every god is just some dude like you or me (or even even a hot chick, 'sup ladies?.. *wink*) and that some of us even think we can kick their asses or something, just to prove that somehow you're even better than the game's staff and get your nerd-on, we should still remember as characters that they are superior to mortals, and don't even need to bother with our crude forms of combat, being able to end our lives with a zap, or even worse.

I don't mess with gods, even if OOCly I don't have a high opinion of them. I like my life and not being a maggot or dead or something, but that's just me.
Bricriu2005-03-14 03:56:41
Well, Lusternia is a bit different - they're not all powerful, for one, and some are BLATANTLY against entire organizations - which is sort of normal, but not for everyone. So, yes, you are going to have characters who are not all butt-kisses and praise for every divine that show up. In fact, some people will be downright rude - or, at least insulting, but perhaps in a subtle manner.

Bricriu doesn't care for Hajamin, at ALL - she personally considers him to be a Biased Pig with twisted sense of what honor really is, but enjoyed their discussion all the same, slipping in a few condescending bits for good measure without really being *rude.* That's how I try to keep her, anyhow. unsure.gif

Personally, I want our Darker, more Taint positive GODDESS. *rally*
Aebrin2005-03-14 04:30:15
I'm still waiting to find out where Hajamin will go to.

Will he go neutral like Lacostian?

Will he go bushy and be part of the Commune (which I personally don't think so, since I think the other one... Viriwhassit... is more the bushy kind of Divine)

or will he accept the Taint (even though he shown a lot of no no feelings to it) and go to Magnagora?

We shall see on next episode of: Big Brother - Divine Edition.

Heh. Llexyn, you might want to check out a dictionary before you poke 'fun' at anyone or anything.

Intellegence is spelled 'Intelligence'. There you go. Just for you!

Edit- Okay, I'll be blasted for this one. I didn't read her post at all before posted. Just saw the thread title and was shocked! *grin* I can admit a mistake. I apologize.

Anyhow, gah. You all need to learn to respect the Divine. Especially Mags.
Llexyn2005-03-14 04:32:23
Every IRE mud is different. I can't say much for Achaea or Imperian but I know in Aetolia, if a mortal publicly disrepected a Divine, that mortal was punished either by death, muteness or some other form of creative imagination - gotta love Niuri and Her all loving ways of illiteracy. wink.gif

As for Lusternia... if you're gonna let it happen... well, hey. The Gods know their rights and power. Their choice to be passive is their own. Though I must say I expected death ... or something. Kudos to the God who chose to take the insults. Hence the idea that the Gods allow mortals to be disrespectful is thrown in the air.

As far as the lovely Hajamin ... well, my only advice in an OOC way and to be taken as respectful as ever ... spell check. It's almost disheartening to have to correct a Divine like that. tongue.gif
Alger2005-03-14 04:36:16
Mali i think that was the point.

also i think its hard to respect divines when they cheat on things... like how someone mysteriously found the corpse of a demon lord when it was lost. Past is past but meh... Then there are the ones who mock us first thing when they get here. Like this new one, nice to be called dishonorable when we havent done anything yet, especially when he couldnt even state what honour is. Then there was the draining our power down to 0 in the ffa which was supposedly a test of terenas' honour...right, good on you. I also think adding that fire damage stuff was lame too, especially when its a damage knight vs a speed knight... true we were fighting for an hour but way to go with tipping the balance.
Llexyn2005-03-14 04:36:45
And Malicia...

grow a brain before you spout things from the mouth that you don't comprehend, first.

I was mocking Hajamin's own grammar.

Bricriu2005-03-14 04:41:05
Dangit, Richter, we were going to let that one go.
Malicia2005-03-14 04:41:11
Having held a few conversations with you in the past (icly), I can't say that I was impressed. In any event, I added an edit to my previous post. I didn't read your post initially. Couldn't be bothered, I suppose. Apology's already out of the way and I'm moving on! smile.gif
