I'm in quite a bit of trouble right now, as I am unable to delete this slew of messages on my clan's board. I know they would be quite alarming to any of the new people I wish to bring into the clan (I changed its purpose), not to mention that they include some very secret information.

Thus, I propose that clan leaders be given the ability to delete any posts on their clan's board. Or, at the very least, allow individual members the ability to delete their own posts and let the leader delete posts of those who are no longer members.

If you could wipe the newsboard then no one would ever buy a new clan. There'd be like 20 clans in circulation at any given time. So, I don't think it should be done.

I think it should - PLUS, Clan leaders should be able to set writing onto the clans newsboard as a priv.

MY clans first post got stolen by a certain rude indiviual. Was I pissed? You bet - I still am, in fact.

That's only assuming that any of the clans are for sale, but even if they are, I don't see the problem.

If you pay 500,000 gold for a clan you should be able to do whatever you please with it

Actually, I spoke with a few voices about this, and it is apparently being considered that the clans will be wiped if sold to someone, or, writing in the news for it being a priv.

Oh yes...vengeance shall be mine! No one steals my clans first post and gets away scott free.

If the news can be wiped clean for ONLY the original clan owner, then thats fine. Second hand news should remain, as a reminder to future owners that it is in fact a used clan.

It would be a shame if no one bought new clans.

I love that "new clan" smell.

So how are we explaining newsboards in-game? A clan is a group of like-minded people, nothing more. Unless they have some sort of meeting place we never see, full of message boards, how would a clan be 'used'?

I love this idea, but maybe just have it so you can edit existing posts rather than deleting them. That way you can't wipe a clan totally clean.

Oh, and PLEASE let us edit clanhelp summaries.

Edit: And giving a clan priv to create and edit projects would be nice, as well as a priv to be able to create/edit clanhelp files and write in the log. I don't know if there is one already, but CLAN PRIVS would be helpful without giving everyone an executive summary.

Also, it would be interesting if enemies of the clan actually see themselves as enemies, since there really isn't any practical effect to clan enemying unless you are an enchanter.

Pssht. I think Achaea like, had it set so you had to type a different command to see your full enemy list, which included clans etc.

Iunno. I like clan enemies not knowing their enemied.

More clan privs!

Writing on the clan board and CLT should both be seperate Priveledges. It would also be nice if the CLWHO looked more like GWHO with positions displayed next to names. I would love projects for clans.

In setting up a clan, I need to be able limit who can write to the boards. Yet, it defeats the purpose of the clan to block the non-writers from reading. After all, just what are they paying dues for?
