The Meditation Chamber of the Most Venerable Dairuchi.
The corrosiveness of the taint sickens the land. This sacred building is quite
likely the only structure in all of Dairuchi that isn't a full-fledged adobe
and has a functional floor of something other than dirt and grass. The walls
are composed of large adobe blocks that were painted white at some point in
time, although constant wear and tear without repair has left them merely
speckled. The room is, for the most part, plain and free of clutter, although a
single grass mat sits against one wall, alone and somehow radiating importance.
A painting of a exquisitely crafted draconic broadsword is proudly exhibited on
a nearby wall. There are 2 disciple of Xiims here. The Most Venerable Dairuchi,
Shimotabi Xiim sits cross-legged on a grass mat with his eyes closed. A
stinking noxious cloud floats here. A pile of rubble lies here, blocking the
way east. Squire of the Armies of Light, Ceres Alatamar is here, shrouded. She
wields a tae'dae bearclaw flail in each hand.
You see a single exit leading east (closed door).

Tainted soil suddenly engulfs Ceres, then just as quickly crumbles to the
ground.
All trace of Ceres vanishes.
Ceres has been slain by the might of Earthen Ire Revan Xandul, Dark Lord of the
Taint.

That's fricken awesome.
Revan2005-03-22 22:40:23
Yea, I log on to check news, Jela tells me Ceres is in my demesne. I go there, use earthquake (all efects for 8 power), summon her, staff/rune her. Jela came for some reason and we were both wailing on her. Hit her Vitality, she truehealed, we waited. Jela illusioned her barrier disappearing and she tried to leave (<3 Jela for that), we got her to vitality again and she truehealed again. I, having to go to class soon and getting sick of waiting, grew frustrated. jela suggested demesne summon. I centered, walled off the room, summoned her, chasmed and headed off to class.
Erion2005-03-22 22:44:17
Fricken awesome. Eat that, Trueheal. =\\ Bet Serpent'll work the same! Had. NEARLY invulnerable, but not quite. Damned barriers.
Silvanus2005-03-22 22:47:01
Serpent doesn't work the same way. I used it on Narsrim,
Amaru2005-03-22 22:49:28
Demesne summon doesn't, and never has, gone through trueheal's prismatic barrier.
Ceres broke the barrier so I could Empress her away.
But since she snubbed me, I just relaxed in my manse and sipped some champagne.

Very nice. Thanks Ama.

Heh, Amaru, I have found a new respect for you. I'll add you onto my list of "people not to bother" =p

If it did work on serpent... you'd pull them through, and they'd still be barriered, since moving doesn't fade the barrier.
Erion2005-03-22 22:55:10
Right, but. You'ld be drug into a room full of guards and all exits walled off indoors. The Nil do you think you're going, anyway?

I was demesne summoned into the foundry in Angkrag with 25+ guards while Serpent was up. I leaped one room away... and walked out. It can be nasty but you'll have to more creative than that to get me with demesne summon.

I'd tumble/fly/burrow/leap/snort spores.

fly = indoors. We can demesne summon through monos, thus stopping spores. Burrow would be bad, but we can dig! Leap, we'll just resummon you.
Unknown2005-03-22 23:02:46
Demesne summon isn't 100%. I'd just leap again. Why do you think no one has ever killed me using that tactic?

Could try and slow you down w/ webbers. And if you're getting whored by blackout motes, you might never realize you were summoned. Not sure on that, though

Stop posting and start thinking. The whole subject involved having Serpent up which means you cannot web, demesne junk doesn't hit, etc. The only thing you could do is summon us back. It takes 3p per summon and fails about 50% of the time... it has never killed me nor Tuek. There you have it... it isn't that great of a strategy. The only way it would work is if you caught us during the last few moment of barrier and it fell before we could get out of that room.
Ceres2005-03-22 23:46:37
A little too much champagne, I think
Demesne summon does, and always has, gone through trueheal's prismatic barrier.
The forced movement of said summoning broke the barrier.
Revan killed me with chasm, which is unavoidable without tumble in a stonewalled room.
