Dang, what can I chop then? If you can't chop totems or drayd trees or trees in the woods to get wood?

You can chop treens, such as Moonhart Saplings and those Ravenwood ones. Leave our totems alone, unless it is going to take you 30 minutes to chop down (about equiv. to the time it takes you to prepare a statue compared to the time it takes us to prepare a totem )

This situation is idiotic.

The second a totem reverts to an elder tree, some druid pixie-ing will walk by and tell the commune on ct. You have at most five minutes to act, and that's if you somehow know exactly when the totem will revert.

And, of course, being in a forest environment, even if you manage to start chopping, you can just be flowed to.

Well, totems can't ALL be bonded, and take forever to grow if one DOES get chopped, but you're more or less right.

And you should be able to chop dryad trees, yes.

There ought to be a quest that forces them to revert, but it ought not to be just a single command. That'd be boring.

I flew into Serenwilde, landed, cured a totem, got flowed to, burrowed, dug around for like 5 minutes, popped up, force tainted, pulled out the axe, and... "You cannot chop that."

Use the crow axes.

Try the Moonhart Mother Tree.
