So, the other day when I was printing photos at Office Max, I wanted to know if the guy would print the lusternia world map. He gave me some crap about authorizations and copyright protection.
So, I came back with it on a disk, not realizing how big it really was. The guy kinda stared and me, and promptly told me I couldn't get it all in a color print, that he'd have to use the massive blueprint copier to print from. Eh, alright, I said. No biggie.
The guy prints it off on a sheet that's like 3 feet by 3 feet. It was huuuge. But it cut off part, so he redid it. Now, these take like four minutes just to transfer all the data to be printed. I decided to wander off, came back ten minutes later with a new gadget for my laptop, and he said it crashed his comp.
Apparently, he got blue screen for a few minutes, because the map overloaded it or something wierd. So, he printed it a third time for me, this time, it was a real nice, huge, copy of the world map.
Later in the day, I picked up my girlfriend and showed her all of what I'd been doing that day. I pulled out the map, and excitedly said, look!
She wasn't impressed.

Richter, for all your efforts, you should be proud. Hold your head up high and despite the naysayers, do what makes you happy! She should accept you for who you are and be happy that you are happy.
You should be happy at your girl's response.. It's when she -likes- that kind of stuff that you should wave a red flag. That.. and Silvanus nailed it.

Meh. I feel the same way when my girl-friend is quoting stats about the Red-Sox.

Nah, get a gilded frame! And get a new copy printed every time a room is added somewhere.

Also thought about the new copies. Sheesh, outta my head you guys.
Oh, and I have the best girlfriend in the world. She just didn't jump up and down at the sight of a MUD map.
