Wild goose chase hunting after Geb to collect rubs.

2853h, 2842m, 10p exk-
You shuffle 1 card with the image of the Hanged Man out of your deck.
2853h, 2842m, 10p exk-
You fling a tarot card at Geb, and a jester appears with a slack jawed
expression. With a mad jingling of his bells, the fool plants an enormous kiss
on Geb's lips.
The bells of a jester continue to jingle madly.
2853h, 2792m, 10p ek-
Geb takes a drink from a glowing sapphire vial.
2853h, 2792m, 10p ek-
With a cold smile, a hideous archdemon digs his claws into the flesh of Geb,
who screams in agony.

You chant the ritual of Carcer and raise your arms. Shafts of blue light rise
up around the location, like the bars of a prison.
2853h, 1992m, 10p xk-
Your mind feels stronger and more alert.
2853h, 2459m, 10p xk-
The Fields of Injurious Schemes.
Shafts of blue light form crisscrossing patterns here. The carcass of an imp
rots here. A huge archdemon looms here, surrounded by black mist. A
black-skinned imp squats here, long tail twitching. Geb is here, shrouded. He
wields a tower shield in his left hand and a coral staff in his right.
You see exits leading east, southeast, and south.
2853h, 2459m, 10p xk-
Geb mutters and clenches his fists which begin to glow. The glow spreads across
his body and burns away the bonds that tie him.

You fling the Soulless tarot card at Geb and upon impact, it disappears. An
ominous silence overtakes your surroundings.

Geb points his staff at you and blasts rolls out from the end, cooking your
flesh.

Geb tries to leave but is prevented by shafts of blue light that spring out of
the ground.
1467h, 2484m, 10p exk-
Geb begins to tumble towards the south.
1467h, 2484m, 10p exk-
A swirling void of darkness opens up before Geb, emanating a mad alien
presence. He whimpers as tendrils of icy smoke leap out and bore into his body.
As the void slams shut, he screams in abject terror, and you cannot help but
watch in fascination as his soul is ripped asunder from his body.
You have slain Geb.
Your karma rises in response to your deeds.
Your karma falls in response to your deeds.
Geb drops the corpse of a sensuous fiend.
Small beams of light burst forth from Geb's pores, restoring his body and
saving him from certain death.
1467h, 2484m, 10p exk-

After that, I called citymates to help and he died 3 times more.

After the 3rd time he kept coming back, but we weren't able to catch him, since everyone suddenly had to leave.

Very satisfying nonetheless.

Also wanna say: kuddos to Geb for not abusing Dilute.
Thorgal2005-03-24 16:23:26
Also, why do you jump and eat chervil that much? Just wondering.
Geb2005-03-24 16:29:52
Yea, I was worried about your rub collecting. I just did not start my tumble on time I guess. Nice set up none-the-less.

Bah, maybe it was a big mistake dropping runes. I have no way to give afflictions anymore. I saw what could have been Llexyn using chasm, and I still have my old echo to peace the person attempting it.

On the last part, each action is a test you can say. It lets me know immediately what my condition is concerning some afflictions. I need to find something for a few other afflictions, but those two will have to do for now.

* I see something else you wrote. You seem to try to give the impression that you gained all of those rubs on me by yourself. Most of the rubs you gained with with the help others. You did get the fling off alone, but the rubs were not a solo deal.
Ceres2005-03-24 16:52:03
You should've staffpointed a second time instead of trying to move, Gebmeister.
Unknown2005-03-24 16:52:10
Geb is brutal. I died in three staffs =(

Nope, we started out all alone, after the first Soulless, I attempted multiple others with the help of citymates, but failed, since you always died to damage first, but the first one, I was alone.

I could not have known his condition. All I knew was my screen said Souless!!! So, it was time for me to get out of dodge.
Unknown2005-03-24 17:08:37
Well since Thorgal's regen went off, according to my calucator he would have survived a second staff cast by 219 hp.

Oh well, more of a reason for me to seriously consider regaining runes.

Naw, would have been about 33% more damage at a 15% increased rate.

*shake* Just a specific example. I judged him and instead of moving, he decided he could stormhammer me to death before I finished.

Which is why artifacts don't make people good!

You definately burned through my supplies using those runes and illusions, maybe Estarra was right when she said dreamweaving isn't all that great for direct combat.
Ceres2005-03-24 18:45:01
Dreamweaving isn't all that good for anything.
Thorgal2005-03-24 19:00:58
Well, it's pretty annoying when you're falling asleep every 2 seconds, while having kafe, insomnia and metawake up. Nothing you can do to stop it, since there's no affliction to cure or anything.

Motes are excellent for use in a demesne, but that is about it when it comes to direct combat.

If I keep dreamweaving, I will have to change my thinking on what type of mage I will be. Since I lack any means of directly giving afflictions while in my physical body, I may have to start working from out of a demesne more.

Without runes, affliction illusions become worthless in a fight without backup. What good is putting a person off of herbbalance, if you can't afflict the person? I have no insta-kill, so illusioning one would be a waste of time. What I am left with is pretty much illusions that are made to cause the person to use their own balance or perhaps force them to focus their mana away. Could use afflictions to run an opponent’s kafe stores down. That would be pretty effective in a demesne with narcolepsy and/or daydreaming embedded.
