Not that I ever intend to own a Manse but Richter's Bar thread gave me an idea.
How about Shop minnies that could only be stocked with trade specific goods.
Ex: An apothecary would stock potions and poisons. An herbalist would stock herbs and flowers. A boutique would stock jewelry and clothing. A black smith would stock weapons and armor. A bakery food, spirits, and cooking herbs. Etc. Knock the credit cost down to say 500- 700 credits and reduce the number of stockable items to 100-150.
Just a random thought.

Was the 'ate' rather than 'at' intentional?
Good idea.
Good idea.

Blah. I was distracted, bugger me for not spell-checking first.

That would be like the incarnation of sheer awesomeness in miniature form. Like totally.
I'd like to see something that DIDN'T require the room to be the fulcrux room. Not sure how you'd code it, but maybe have a safe-like object built inside of the store's counter that used the safe's permission's system. After all, that down exit is just ugly.

When I first came to Lusternia and saw the shops had IN instead of DOWN for stockrooms, I thought... Yes!!! I groaned aloud when I saw manse stockrooms go back to the inexplicable down.
But I suppose you could put in a concealment stake to hide the down exit, couldn't you? Or do those not work in a fulcrux shop room?

Well, the shops in Celest and Magnagora have down exits, I think...
But yeah, an IN exit would be much more preferable. Or, better yet, let us CHOOSE what direction to use for our stockroom!

Why does it really matter? Am I missing something, or is it just personal preference?
Gwylifar2005-03-28 01:09:59
Just the same sort of thing as having your underwear go under your outerwear.

It's personal preference. I'd LOVE to have my fulcrux at the top of my tower, but nooo, the down exit is blocked. Mutter.
