Gaara is awesome!
Geocast sandarmor- 1 power. Geomancers should have an improved version of stoneskin with some drawbacks. It initially blocks more damage than stoneskin, but as the geomancer takes hits the armor breaks and falls away in flakes and wisps of sand, and the amount of damage blocked is decreased below stoneskin at the lowest stage unless the geomancer reapplies the spell. Normal stoneskin can be used instead as well.
Geocast sandwall- 1 power. Like a stonewall it cannot be ignited down, though it is easier to bust down for warriors than a stonewall is. The Geomancer and his allies can walk through the sandwall at will.
Geocast quicksand- 2 power. Creates a carcer effect in a tainted room around the target. If a target is under the effect of quicksand, chasm can't be used as the nature of the earth is already being changed by one spell.
Geocast sandfist- 3 power. A giant earthen hand appears and passively smacks up the geomancer's enemies. Stops working if the geomancer leaves the room.

Quicksand sounds good, if the other mage guilds got an equivalent. Something like grove hinder, and maybe a whirlpool for the Aquamancers.

They already have one, it's called currents or whirlpool that holds the enemies and steals balance. Also it doesn't stop the Aquamancer as well.
Silvanus2005-03-30 19:52:22
Those are actually pretty good ideas Jello, the first time I could say that about your ideas

Yes, upgrade those poor Geomancers, they're horribly underpowered!

Oh, cool. Just give me hinder then, and we'll be set. Oh, and implement quicksand, too, as long you can't chasm with it up.

You have those stupid briarwalls.
Anyway, these are all fine, especially the ripping off Gaara part, but I think we need to have the other stuff toned down first.

Briars are the equivalent of the damn rubble that hinders your moving
Silvanus2005-03-30 20:14:02
Briars are equivalent of Stonewalls. Rubble is the equivalent of currents and the Hartstone moving into trees.
Genos2005-03-30 20:24:54
Added to the fact that rubble and stonewalls stop us too. So if you're fighting in your center without Tumble you can't run either *whine* I want an ability that costs 2 power called Stonewalk where we can bypass our own effects
Sylphas2005-03-30 20:28:05
*can walk through his own briars*
Oh, that reminds me, I've been meaning to ask? Does Earthquake throw up stonewalls? Because regrowth is more of a hindrance then anything, if you're fighting with a group, because it casts briars all over the damn demesne.

Yearh, Earthquake does.

If you're going to rip off Gaara, I'm going to rip off Kimimaro.
Bonefinger bullets - brilliant!

Pff, I want my byakugan and tenketsu thingies. Not that they'd fit in Moondancers, buuut.

Geocast Sand Demon- Turn into a living incarnation of the Sand Demon when below 500 health. In this form, you gain +10 intelligence, +10 size and have a natural armor of 200/200. This form sucks up willpower like a dirty whore, but is extremely powerful.
There's a Gaara hack for you
