I am going to be a knob and quote myself.
Me re killing someone for insulting you.
So, what do you think? Is being insulted by someone a good enough rp reason to kill them?

That doesn't make the excuse any stronger, it's still pathetic. I can accept it as an interesting quirk of the very few (oh dear, you said my hair was yucky, now you die , good sir!) but if we have every second person killing anyone who says something vaguely insulting to them, do you really think the RP credentials of Lusternia as a whole are going to stand up for very long? It's so obviously an excuse to (please shoot me before I say this) 'pwn' someone and show them your 'leet skeelz' (or any variation thereof).

Personally, as you said in the other thread, I believe that if too many do it it becomes very thin and becomes very much an outlook that ignores the suspension of disbelief inherent in the death system. "Eh, they'll always come back, they just lose experience, whatever."
Problem is, finding ways to curb the excess of it would quickly devolve into a discussion of whether it's acceptable to expect people to sacrifice their RP "because too many other people are doing it."

I think its a perfectly good reason to -attack- somebody. Now it just happens that whenever you attack someone, they rarely will accept a 'Ok I'm stopping now' but instead insist on fighting till the death.

To slap them maybe, or even a kick. But I see your point.
