Hypothetical situation:

Player A creates an alt, Player B who has the same agenda (pro-Taint, pro-Light, or pro-Nature).

Player A uses Player B to try and do stuff that benefit them both although primarily Player A because he is the main character. This "stuff" might include using Player B to go into enemy territory (where Player A is enemied but Player B is not) to spy/get information/quest against a faction, etc.

Is this illegal? I'd been watching the baby in Stewartsville for like 10 hours or so... and in that time frame, the strangest people tried to come get the baby. They were all non-enemies, of course, who were typically either A) Rogues B) Celestians. One of these strange people mistell "I'm at the crib but the baby isn't there" after I asked this person what they were doing melting my icewalls and doing directly to the baby after entering the village.

I don't think it's illegal...

but it's extremely extremely bad RP.

If admins catch, I suggest taking off many many RP points.

2) no character may ever help any other character in ANY WAY.

If their alts are interacting/supplying information to eachother it is abuse. Otherwise it just sounds like really really poor roleplay.

It would be nice to police people's IC motivations in comparison to their OOC motivations, but I'm not sure that we could.

If Person A creates an Alt inorder to accomplish a task his original that would benefit his main character, that is abuse of seconds. This is not only bad RP but cheating and those who did such should be shrubbed or put in Time for a short period.

Player A and Player B are two different people. Player A knows Player B and says, "Go make an alt and do this". Player B does so for the benefit of his 'friend'. This isn't necessarily abuse, but could be considered bad RP if that is the only reason Player B created new character. (Although one could consider the entire purpose of creating an alt -for- the purpose of RP as we've seen requests for exactly that.) However, if Player B creates the alt to benefit his main character's agenda, and is simply working with Player A to accomplish it , then yes, that is an abuse of seconds -and- horrible RP.

Edit: Nevermind- I see the question really is- Player A has Character A and Character B(Alt)... etc. Yes, this is abuse of seconds. Previous point still stands though.

And, despite what you all think, I don't think anyone was using alts. I know I kept sending a bunch of barely out of novicehood people, but none of them have alts in the Coven, or, hell, Magnagora.

Meh. These people are straight out of novicehood with ignite wands who know Stewartsville better than I do. You must be one hell of a recruiter.

Half the people I send are people I've known for a long time - or, like Falasin, people that have been ICly involved. Seriously. I might go for low blows and childish shticks, but I'm not so cruel as to go and make an alt or ask people to make alts to run in there and get the baby.

These are people either Daevos or whomever else sent in there. I sent all of two people in, and that was in to the Seren for deer. Anything else I had a hand with were all dreamweavers, who were not just out of novicehood.

No matter HOW mentally unstable Stangmar seems.
