You tap a cluster of gems with precision, but you reveal nothing but salt.

okay...salt and sulfur are totally useless. for a commodity that costs about 108gp on average shouldn't have the possibility of making such a worthless item. Mercury and sugar are highly saught after and coal costs what...15gp? Alchemist use salt and sulfur true, but who uses these potions??? I've spoken to many alchemist and most of them have never even sold salt or sulfur. I have so much salt and sulfur in my rift I dont know what to do with it. Can it be something that is cut less frequently? Please? or at least made to be more useful somehow?

Please post any ideas you have...because if it were up to me I'd get rid of them all together glare.gif

Alchemists use it for pentagram and void sans mana, I think, not even potions.

Right, they do suck. *hum* But I think that's the risk of the jewellery trade.

It'd be more worth it if pentagram/circle/void/null took more mana than they do. Saving 50 or whatever they take isn't really enough unless you have money to waste and are really worried about absolve.

salt or sulfer have saved me a few times when clot and pralysis killed my mana and I was unable to cure myself.

Ssh, Daganev, stop defending it!

I have counted. Since Year 100, I have sold a total of 4 salt and 7 sulfur. Almost of them to newbies who wanted "1 of everything", the other three to people who were too poor to learn up to Void/Nullify.

Salt and sulfur are freakin' useless. Can we at LEAST have them required in other potions? Like explosives?

Don't they take balance instead of eq? I thought they were for kitties.

Nope, I just tested. They take eq too.

Make 'em take balance, I like!

Nah, I say just make circle/pentagram and void/nullify take like 200-500 mana, rather then the 50 it currently takes. That'd make some people switch over to the mana free vials in a sprint.

I use salt/sulfur instead of circle/void, as my mana is about half my max health. I'll agree with Daganev that they're very useful for those of us with all the brawn and not so much of the brains. wink.gif
