I could be wrong, but it looks like you demesned just one room. A few rooms _might_ work better.

Yeah, that's one of my problems, I'm sparkleberryless, need to load up on combat equipment. And I did demesne just room, I figured if I needed to I could flood/meld, but he didn't move so it didn't matter. Agreed on the curing and faeleaf. I'm pretty limited as far as attacks go, it's basically either blast (which I doubt would do much), ignite (which in my deluged demesne would do very little) or hailstorm. And since unlike blast or ignite, I had gotten a win using hailstorm before, I used that.

Curing was my main problem there, my system just has stuff that I've ran into in bashing things like auto-standing, sipping, mending of broken limbs, and defense handling, I don't have any real affliction handling.

I assume it's afflictions, but I have no clue which. (I should've diagnosed.)

That there's heretic. It's a sacraments skill, slowly gives random afflictions. Mostly harmless. It leads to infidel, which is also mostly harmless. Infidel leads to inquisition, which is just a shorthand version of the oxymoron "delayed instakill."

It's heretic, sacraments skill that gives devastating afflictions at an insanely fast rate of once to twice every 2 seconds, which leads to infidel, which will throw your offense completely to the ground with even more dangerous afflictions, while burning off your health and mana at an even faster speed everytime it works, since now both heretic and infidel are spamming you with afflictions. Inquisition means death most of the time, since it strips all your defences, including vitae, drawdown, lichdom or stagform.

The moment you get infideled, run far away, cause the odds you're gonna stop inquisition while staying in the room are nihil .

It isn't just if he moves. It's so you can move if you need to as well. Or if he forces you to move, the demesne can still attack him in the next room and help keep both of you in the demesne / help you stay alive etc.

Could consider afflictions too, if you have any. It's not like mage afflictions are terribly effective except in specific situations, unless you can supersling runes, but still better than nothing.

Oh, and it isn't pointless. All them fantastic curers mostly cure so quickly that I can't get the secondary affliction lines from their logs

I'm sadly Inept in Runes, I decided that I'd go full steam into Aquamancy (probably until Staff) and then decide from there, so I can't afflict anyone. Although point taken about the multiroom demesne, I ended up doing that in the next few spars I had.

Also, to backtrack, is there a way to cure the heretic bit?

Heretic can't be cured, no. Focus spirit stops the glowing to disorientate the paladin/Celestine.

But it does wear off naturally after a little bit, unless they advance it all the way to inquisition.
