Good intentions mean a lot, Lis. Thank you. You didn't make me feel useless, or what I was doing wasn't good enough, or anything of that sort.
Remember, the biscuits are always fluffier on the other side. Thank you. You did lighten my spirits, and gave me a reason to keep going. You helped alleviate a painful migraine, and give me a reason to not go lay down in depression.
In otherwords, Mirage Tank. Come back to the IRC channel.

Whoah, how did mirage tanks find their way here? Lis?

I don't know what a mirage tank is (my curmudgeon protegé will have to tell me) but I agree, come back, Lisaera. Plus, that last thing you said got cut off, you have to come back!
Shiri2005-04-17 03:19:21
Ahah! One I know.
It's these...er...tanks from a game series called Command and Conquer that...turn into illusions of trees when they're not moving or something.
(I think. I picked that up from the conversation, I hate C&C series. >_>)

You hate C&C? That's just wrong. Long live Kane!

I'm not quite sure what this is in refrence to, but like I said in another thread...
Please stop doing all this out of game chatter on what needs to happen in the future, it ruins things. I don't like the idea of these things being forced. I was really happy how since the VERY beggining this whole things has been surrounded by almost pure RP.
I was upset when this turned into some sort of pure killing thing, but that doesn't mean it needs to be discussed outside the game.
I would hate for this event to be ruined because some people feel the need to not learn what they need to learn in game.

When we have no idea WHAT'S going on in game, we're sitting here with a thumb up our arses, and all the mobs are like, "I dunno." While Munsia and the Seren have 2/3 of the Sceptre already built....
Lisaera was just doing us a favour by saying "Shh, don't give up yet."

Thats funny, because I'm playing the game, I'm sitting here watching, i've spent less time than you on this, and from all ingame sources I have figured out whats going on.
Sometimes your suppose to wait and listen, and just hang around till you get a clue as to what to do.
Its the difference between playing the game with the cheatbook open, and an internet access ready, and playing the game with just yourself and some friends.

She didn't tell us anything other than "The next step is ready. It's just waiting for you. Go! Find it out!" and "I can't change the quest. Estarra has it all set up."
Amaru2005-04-17 14:56:14
You're all noobs. If you haven't played Red Alert 2, you may as well go hang yourself right now. Lis agrees with me.
Murphy2005-04-17 15:02:21
-also agrees with amaru-
although i much prefered C&C Generals: Zero hour.

Nah isometric > full 3d. I never feel comfortable with full 3D environments, everything looks square and there isn't enough fluidity or variation. I like clicking somewhere and BOOM your army is there, not all the slow pathfinding and floating cubes.

Oh come on, Prism Tanks are sooooo much better than Mirage Tanks.
Prism Tanks + Chronoshphere = teh winzors.
The airships were pretty fun too, especially at high veteran levels.

Actually I was always fond of the Mirage Tanks myself. Backing them up with a few Prisms was nice. I always preferred being annoying with Chrono Legionaires and Commandos myself.
Falasin2005-04-17 21:19:48
Meh, moving Chronolegionares was too much of a hassle for me, I put the in the whatchmacallits.
My usually just destroyed everything with the Airships, when they got to the highest level they could take SOOO much damage and had a really damage AoE attack that left fancy craters.

If you want to talk about RA2, make a thread in the Real World section.
Amaru2005-04-18 16:49:27
Omfgbbq u n00b0rz, any of you who play Allied, I challenge you to a game of RA2, with 10cr to anyone who can beat me.
Torak2005-04-18 17:02:38
C&C sucked..except for Redalert. If you want to play a real strategy game play starcraft broodwar..otherwise there is warcraft which has too many imbals.
Terenas2005-04-18 17:09:02
We have a C&C thread open you know. Go post there.
