Well, since so many people were freaking about the Moondancer/Serenwilde RP being smashed, they got thrown a bone.

Out of the Ethereal plane a fae messenger came, saying that the fae were afraid of the Glomdoring, and that they wanted to help, so the pixies now offer up their magic to the flame of Glinshari to strengthen it.

As far as I can see, this completely solves the problem. Maeve calls for Neutrality, while the Fae beneath her are still scared of the Glomdoring, meaning they don't want to be bound in shadow.. What this means, pretty much, is that by freeing them from their bonds to Night and returning them to Moon, we ARE still doing what they are asking. Maeve may be influenced by Night, but the Fae below her still seek protect of the Seren and Mother Moon... that seems like the biggest conformation that Dancers/Seren could ask for in their RP being able to remain solid.

Hopefully this will be a relief to people.

But what about Maeve? What was with her?

Maeve is influenced by Night, so she can't be trusted. If Maeve's underlings haven't been influenced by Night, and manifest what they want to do... to me is further evidence that Maeve is unreliable.

Queen Maeve had her darkside awakened, which is the embodiment of Night, which is malevolent, so, now, when Maeve used to be like "Bad Glomdoring!" She is now "The Fae are Neutral. The Glomdoring is not bad, it just is." while her Fae are like "AHHHHH! Glomdoring bad! HELP! Don't bind us in shadow!"

For a while, when the Fae aside from Maeve didn't take a stand, Moondancers and Seren were freaking, because it seemed like Glomdoring was totally ok..and that we really weren't protecting them.. now though, that the Fae have taken a stand on their own, saying they fear it, the Moondancers/Serenwilde have the backing they need to protect the Fae again, despite what Maeve says.

Thanks to the admin for not screwing us over. That conversation Elryn posted had me scared!

Once Glomdoring has control of the fae their tunes will change though. The fae reflect whomever has greatest influence over them at the time.

They are a litmus. Serenwilde has the most influence over them, hence they favor Serenwilde, until Glomdoring gains more influence.

I would like to see Bear and the Avatars of Lake in Ethereal in their normal state... Night/Crow will probably remain the only crazed group infuencing Maeve.

No, Ak, whoever is influencing MAEVE has HER support, not the Fae, as it is the pixies who are helping us, and the pixies ALWAYS run around in Serenwilde.. also, Moon hasn't blessed Maeve yet, so, your whole theory goes out the window, because Night isn't being restrained in Maeve yet. So Nyah!

The messenger came from Ethereal and said that the FAE were afraid of Glomdoring, and that the pixies decided to help. The pixies come from the Ethereal, down Mother and run into the woods, you take them back to Mother and they go back up to the Ethereal. Also, the Moondancers can someone pixies.. so.. yeah

So, no, not confusing anything, since pixie are Fae.

No, we havn't. We have always been protecting the Fae from what THEY feared. They still fear it, and you are just an ass trying to ruin people's enjoyment of the game. Just because Maeve is corrupted by Night does not mean we were wrong, it means that Night is corrupt and is now part of Maeve, in no way does that = Night being peachy.
