o  Special for Moon and Stag Totem: Upon gaining the Wicca
specialization or Druidry specialization, an elfen becomes a High
Elfen with statistics changing by -1 strength, -1 dexterity and
+2 intelligence. Elfen who choose the warrior in communes, upon
gaining the specialization become an Elfen Lord with statistics
changing by -4 intelligence, +3 strength, +1 constitution,
  +1 dexterity  and +2 size.

Ah, blast it. That means it's Elfen, huh. Oh well.
Ashteru2005-04-22 22:39:07
Uhm to be exact, when I created my alt today, there was something like "warriors and rangers in the communes."
Unknown2005-04-22 22:43:45
Doesnt that mean its not elfen? Cause its only moon and stag, not night and crow?
Unknown2005-04-22 22:45:13
I think it's something different for elfen... like Dark Elfen or something dumb like that.
Shiri2005-04-22 22:45:23
Oh yeah.
I think I made the wrong mental leap and went "well, if it has Moon and Stag shown specifically there, it'll have one for Night and Crow too."
Whoops.

It just seems that an Elfen will become an Elfen Lord in either commune... it says nothing about mage types.
Shiri2005-04-22 22:48:05
I think the "Special for Moon and Stag totem" applies to the whole paragraph, not just the first section.
Faethan2005-04-22 22:54:15
It does say "communes"
Unknown2005-04-22 22:55:42
There might end up being a separate specialization for Crow and Night, and rather then High Elfen and Elfen Lord, some other name. Tada.
Tehn2005-04-22 23:00:09
Why would they make warriors be elfen, but the other classes be a different race? That would suck..

They never said that.
In Serenwilde, Elfen who join the Druids/Wiccan become High Elfen. Elfen who join the Serenguard become Elfen Lords.
In Glomdoring, Elfen who join the guilds will have a slightly different specialization then the Serenwilde ones, perhaps different stats, but definitely a different name, say like Dark Elfen.

Sprawled across the south-eastern hills, Glomdoring Forest is a blight on
the land. Once called Gloriana Forest, it was a place of light and beauty.
Since the Taint spread across its borders, these dark woods have been home
only to twisted monstrosities and sinister, scheming individuals. Those
few who have been daring enough to venture within its boundaries have
bought back tales of the walking dead, beasts made of the plants and soil,
and even stranger creatures of nightmare. The Great Nature Spirits Crow
and Mother Night were twisted during the Taint Wars and now cast their
malignant gaze over the woodlands, protecting them and acting to spread
their influence across the world. The nexus of power was once known as the
Great Ravenwood, but was split during the Taint. The word "glomdoring"
itself translates in the fae tongue to "forest without mercy".

Sweet!
Syrienne2005-04-23 00:16:29
Gwynevere asks you to repeat the oaths of the Glomdoring Forest after her. You
do, and you are admitted as the newest, proudest commune member of the
Glomdoring Forest!

"Shadowboxers" was the original name, but Rowena gave it a thumbs down.
