You offered to spar with non-artie weapons? Not to my face you didn't. 
EDIT: On a different note, that log was a lot faster than it looked. I didn't actually have a chance after that first blow, there, because he struck IMMEDIATELY after I was unstunned, meaning I couldn't have cured paralysis.
