I really don't think it needs to be explained .
If you vote yes, its because you think they do too much damage.
If you vote no, its probably because you own one/more.

Which they do.

If we downgrade the runes, what UPGRADES do you suggest to replace that, because knights cannot kill without the damage of the runes.
Tuek, non-elemental knights just suck....So are you saying that you want to be totally immune to being killed by a knight one on one? Cause it sure sounds like it, as it stand now I still can't kill narsrim on pure damage with 20 strength and hitting him pretty much every blow over and over.
Nerf the runes but upgrade our offence so we can be halfway decent
The precedent in most IRE games of knights sucking seems to blind a lot of people to the fact that just MAYBE knights were meant to be a viable class for combat here

I agree with Murphy, if you wish to downgrade runes then the overall offence of the knights should be upgraded.

I voted Yes but not because I think that's the answer; it's just less wrong than No. The real answer is, as I've been saying for ages, damage has to be recalibrated around the same mean with a lower standard deviation. Bring up the bottom and bring down the top. The range between the highest and lowest damage done by two fully-deffed warriors of comparable level and might using comparable weapon types should not be more than a factor of two, if even that much. (Right now it's about a factor of 4-6.)

I voted no, I think the entirety of their damage should be converted to the element type. I am sorry, but if ive paid 300 credits for lightning runes, I want my damned swords to be light sabers already.

Possibly the funniest thing I've heard in a long time on this forum, Asarnil. I vote no!

Knights: No.
Non-knights: Yes.

Heretic/Infidel/Inquisition. Failing that, just fight them until they get annoyed and heartstop. Or in my case, until the person gets d/c after 2 straight hours of fighting.
Ceres2005-04-28 22:14:08
I killed oodles of people without elemental runes or inquisition.
You just kinda beat and beat and beat.

Murphy2005-04-28 22:47:42
psh ceres good luck killing someone who has 6k health (another knight) and sips/sparkles for more than your combos! not to mentio parry stances and rebounding, from my memory you were an inquisition whore
Good luck indeed

Umm, no offense but if you want ALL of your attack converted to a certain element, you'd better damn well be paying a lot more then 300 credits a weapon for it.
300 credits in any other IRE realm doesn't get you anywhere near this large a damage increase, the cost needs to be increased Dramatically (think strength artifact costs) or the effect downgraded.
I'm not going to apologise if you actually think you should be able to pay to kill 95% of the realm in four attacks.

I said oodles. Not who.
Yes, I whored inquisition. It's quite simply the most effective way for a paladin to kill someone.
Murphy2005-04-28 23:08:36
so how do you expect a non-paladin warrior to beat anyone without artifacts?
