Well.. here I am.. stuck between Achaea and Lusternia. I lerv Achaea, and Lusternia is really good too. Argh!! Achaea is big, and I know the world better, but the way they are putting in autoclass is waay F@%!ed up. sleep.gif

Anyways.. I just thought I would pop in and give a quick hello! smile.gif

Righto.. I wish more people played Lusternia, and that they would fix the damned skills so there arent so many, and you need like, a billion credits to trans them all tongue.gif Anyhow.. ayyup. wacko.gif

How are they implementing autoclass in Achaea?

It confuses me why people complain about autoclass on Achaea, AND THEN COME HERE AND HAVE THE EXACT SAME THING.

So I assume there's some difference I'm unaware of.

I hope that Lusternia's playerbase increases but I would hate to see it at Achaea's level.
Shiri2005-04-28 21:19:42
I'm happy with it at this level, although I'm always happy to meet new friends. happy.gif
Marsu2005-04-28 21:21:01
I like it at this level as well but some increase is inevitable. I just hope it doesn't get over the top.
Dan2005-04-28 21:22:05
the way they are doing it in Achaea is making it COMPLETELY guild INDEPENDENT.. which is stupid -mutter-

yeah...
Estarra2005-04-28 21:36:03
I'm sure Achaea will do what is necessary to get it right. Every Iron Realms game is different and I'll never say a bad word against any of them. Aetolia offers more of a dark gothic atmosphere; Imperian offers more of a militaristic magic vs. faith RP environment; Achaea is the granddaddy of all of us and has a rich history. It's my hope that Lusternia will stand out because of the unique guilds and skill system, the emphasis on other planes, great quests (which we've put a lot of energy into), a dynamic conflict system, and intensive RP.

Granted, a larger playerbase also means more economic success for us as a company but that's something that shouldn't concern you. What should concern you, however, is that a larger playerbase is necessary if you want to see more expansion in terms of player organizations like Guadiguch, Hallifax or Ackleberry. I simply don't think our current playerbase can sustain more.

Well y'see, in achaea, it was all about the guild, city doesn't matter at all...city doesn't do anything, city doesn't mean anything, but the guild...was important.

Now it isn't anymore, guilds are now completely meaningless in achaea...and nothing is left, all that remains are artifacts and rampages. In lusternia, the city is what matters, every fight has a purpose, raids slow down you enemy's economy and enlarge your own, quests do the same. Unlike in achaea, there's actually a purpose to what we do, and a result. That's why I think: Lusternia > Achaea.

I believe there is enough people in the guardians that wish to join Gaudiguch to substain it, also people from celest, Magnagora, Serenwilde and even Glomdoring would also be leaving to join it.
Marsu2005-04-28 21:47:16
Nah, Estarra is right. I'd prefer not have 500 people on at all hours of the day but yeah, when it happens it happens.
Shiri2005-04-28 21:48:01
Leaving the current four cities with less.

(On a different note, I actually think we COULD sustain another organisation on this. I'm a fan of smaller groups, I don't want to see Achaean legions. But obviously the experts disagree, so I'll shut up. halo.gif)
Thorgal2005-04-28 21:48:25
We really don't want another city or commune anytime soon, Shiro.

Definately agree with you there.

Let the Admin take their well-earned break. Glomdoring sapped alot out of them. Stop pressuring the Admin for more. They always do their best to make us happy, so we should return that kindness with our own. When Guadigach comes, it comes.
Nyla2005-04-28 21:58:08
I like the autoclass system saves people from some of the ridiculous novice requirements.
Unknown2005-04-28 22:03:36
I'm grateful for what all the admins have been doing and what they have to come, but, i'm bringing a point to my defense and it isn't directed towards the admins
Ceres2005-04-28 22:12:37
The Lusternian combat system, while ambitious, fails in many areas.

I prefer Achaea.

Yes, you can't buy a bunch of artifacts, download a system, and sit there and let it do everything for you, maybe throw in a stormhammer once in a while if you feel like it. For shame! Achaea's combat system have degraded into what it once what with everything so predictable, there are almost no random factors involved in combat, merely depending on who can spend the most money on artifacts and belonged in the most overpowered class. If you are a Magi or Occultist or one of those overpowered classes in Achaea, then you would probably enjoy killing people with little problems, for other classes, it isn't so.
Revan2005-04-28 22:14:11
But Ceres, of course you'd like it. Achaea's combat system is overpowered in every area.
Ceres2005-04-28 22:15:09
Overpowered is a relative thing, since there has to be a hallmark to be "over".

If everyone is, no-one is.

Your smart-alecky comments really just.. are rubbish, Revan.

Stop embarassing yourself.
