Is it just me? I pound on a leech for about ten minutes and I can't kill it? Why does warrior bashing have to suck so much! I'm level 51 and 99% with igasho strength and expert bonecrushery and I can't kill anything past a rockeater.
Is it just me?
If it isn't, can we get a generous bump to our bashing capabilities?

It's a leech. Leeches suck health from you, even Mages have problems with 'em.
Manjanaia2005-04-29 16:36:43
Well ok that makes sense. But still, I kill a rockeater about 10 times slower than a similar mighted mage/warrior. And it still takes me three cracks at an old rat.
Terenas2005-04-29 16:39:38
Good luck trying to bash as a knight at only expert. Blast, cosmicfire, and curse do a lot more damage at the lower levels against mobs, faster, as well as never misses as well. This has always been an inherent problem for hunting as a physical damage class in Achaea, and same as here. Sounds like it's time to steal Swordplay from Achaean Knights then.
Manjanaia2005-04-29 16:40:47
Any thoughts from anyone as to whether that is justifiable. It seems kinda harsh to me but I suppose there must be a reason.
Vix2005-04-29 16:42:04
I guess the reason is that knights are unbelievebly strong once you're loaded with credits...
Manjanaia2005-04-29 16:42:56
So basically I have to:
Find some money
Buy a ton of credits.
Great.

Just wait for the admins to fix the class.
Shiri2005-04-29 16:51:23
Roark's looking into it.
I imagine pathetic novice knight bashing is part of what he's looking into.

Yay!
EDIT: Except, er, I'm only a novice because I just switched guilds. Although people used to think I was a novice when I was in the Paladins because of my low might.

I'll request an ability similar to Swordplay in Achaea that will give all non-master weapons bonuses for to hit and damage and see what goes from there.
Richter2005-04-29 22:50:53
I hope our bashing gets upgraded... I feel so weak.
Unknown2005-04-29 22:58:36
There's some problems dealing with Knight fightning in General. When I fight Saraxus or Murphy, barely do any damage and most of the time they dodge my attacks. It is same on the other foot, I miss most of their attacks and barely get hit with damage (Except for Murphy) Lets put it this way, 169 tohit trans combat and bonecrusher. Concentrate and it takes me 4 dual swings to actually get past barely fazed

With decent weapons, and transcendent Bonecrushing/Blademastery, and Combat, Warrior bashing far surpasses other classes in speed.
Sylphas2005-04-30 00:34:51
Maybe have warriors not miss mobs? Shouldn't affect high levels much, but it would realy help newbies.

Yeah, that's not the point though. The problem is when they're all weedy and tiny.
What does swordplay do?
Unknown2005-04-30 00:42:19
I think, if possible, the damage and accuracy base should lift in general to help lower level people. Like Shiri implied, not everyone has access to credits.
Unknown2005-04-30 00:44:35
Pffft... I just wish I could bash as fast and as good as a warrior. Now THAT is unfair.
Athana2005-04-30 00:48:17
*looks at rankings* i see lots of guardians and warriors up there...is it just because mages don't bash very much or what?
EDIT: ignore Niara
