From a conversation we had in the IRC channel.. When did it all start to go wrong. It was clearly Brennan and Braga at fault, but when did it start to go down hill, in your eyes?

after thinking...I might change my vote to end of DS9, instead of start of voyager...I can't recall for certain how the last ds9 series ended...and I think I've seen mostly the early to mid seasons thoroughly. I think there might have been a period after Dax left where I just stopped watching, as well.

I think it started going down hill when they got into 'Borg Space.'
Also, the writing in the last season was HORRIBLE. I think the only episode I even half liked was the last one. I just hated the corniness that they kept shoving down our throats, and anytime Neelix was on screen or spoke, I just cringed (Nothing against Ethan Phillips).

I watched voyager for a while, and kept hoping it would get better...I never felt like it did. Every plot either seemed like an old star trek plot, but in deep, deep space and with limited resources, or was so far-fetched as to make me just

Enterprise was worse. Just totally annoyed me. Damn enterprise.

Not a fan, but decided to post anyway, to kill time.

Where's the "Beginning of DS9" option? I got so sick of them trying to be a cultural showcase. Trying to build an alleged plot around Bajoran rituals, customs, and spirituality is as dull as the Star Wars Holiday Special building a two hour "story" around wookie holiday customs. Come on! I watched Trek to see Kirk beat up aliens with his fists and watch Picard give the smackdown to disrespectful starships, not to watch people with funny noses meditating.
Jerri Ryan was an improvement. (7 of 9, right?) The parts of Voyager that had lots of borg interaction were an improvement, and actually I thought Enterprise was pretty good when it started, though now I don't watch television so lost touch with it.

It all went wrong when you watched Star Trek.
Or is this not about love lives?

DS9, as my Dad puts it, was a soap opera. There were some good things about it though. And I did like Voyager, I watched nearly every episode in the first season, and then regularly after that. I've not watched a single episode of Enterprise, it looked like crap.

I added another option to the poll.
Roark2005-05-03 19:29:02
Anyone remember the Star Trek cartoon?
Unknown2005-05-03 19:35:33
..do I have to admit to that Roark? *laugh*

Damn.. I must be the only one who liked DS9 but hated the Borg in Voyager.
How I see it, was that Borg were a special thing.. People loved 'Resistance is Futile,' because it wasn't over done, they were mysterious. They just ruined it.

Heh, Fain, I never liked the first movie. All the others were better than that one.
Maybe though, I should watch that again, now that I'm an "adult".
