I found it quite amazing he lasted that long without using his faes at all as a Mugwump.

Heh. You cannot gust contagnation away if a lich is in the room. Instead of gusting, I just walk one room away. When they chase, I immediately run back and gust.

Yeah, I also realize that gust > tackle since you can do it while your target is off balance or eq and it doesn't knock you to the ground. Meh, useless knight skills.

My best guess is that he was gusting Murphy into rooms with pre-drawn hexes, though there was only 1 room (that I saw) where Murphy got hit. Now that I think of it, wouldn't gust beat allhex? Doesn't take power and has a far better recovery time. Can gust be resisted by the way?

Either that or gust = better than web if you have good triggers for writhing because it disorientates the victim and they have to move back manually.

The hexes thing is...odd. I don't think anyone would be fazed by being hit by ONE hex. :/

I think you could always see someone eating or sipping a vials, even if shrouded or invisible. It's rather the fact that you writhed out while under yesod that he is unable to see that made him use faeriefire.
