The totems thing doesn't really matter.

Group msging/tells would just be a handy extra feature, but probably too much of a waste of time to code for what it'd do.

Wouldn't be hard to code the message thing yourself, at least in Zmud.

I like this idea alot.

I'd also like to expand on it, and allow City/Commune leaders message the entire active City/Commune, or the entire thing in general. Also allowing guild leaders to message the entire guild, and clan leaders to have it as an investable power.

That's kinda what the news is for there. X_x

Screw the news. People don't always check it, and are more likely to read messages. Often times it is wished to type out a quick message, rather then having to find the news room, and deal with the editor, and make a formal news post that clutters up the board. No thanks.

Also allow the messaging of your allies list.

Who doesn't check the news? What else do you do while sleeping?
