Fred Phelps, pastor at the Westboro Baptist Church, believes exactly that - god hates fags. He and his supporters also believe great stuff like 9/11 was a blessing from God, America sucks because of homosexuals, and protesting at gay funerals is the right thing to do.

. I mean really, funerals? that. Bah.

Some of his supporters recently did a protest in Durham, North Carolina, about 10 minutes from where I live. The people with the colorful signs are them (they were on the other side of the street) while we were the ones with the not so colorful signs.

It's a shame to see such aggression and intolerance paraded in front of young children. It shows a wanton disregard for the innocence of childhood.

This is why I hate the Church. Any group of people who treats a group of people as inferiors because the do/are something that doesn't hurt other people is just plain wrong.

Church- Be good, love thy neighbour, violence is wrong, treat others as you'd like to be treated! EXCEPT YOU BLACK/GAY/WOMAN PERSON!!!
