You open up a window in the cosmic fabric and search out Ceres. Through the
cosmic window, you see Ceres at the Path of War.

3826h, 5282m, 3580e, 10p elrxkdb-
The Path of War. (road).
This location is flooded with shallow, crystal clear water. The bright sun
shines down, blanketing you with its life-giving warmth. Ceres is here. She
wields an athame dagger in her left hand.
You see exits leading northeast, southwest, and in.
3826h, 5302m, 3580e, 10p elrxkdb-
Drawing back on his tiny bow, a pixie bound in shadows shoots an arrow straight
at you.
You feel incredibly tired, and fall asleep immediately.
A brownie bound in shadows runs up and tickles your sides.
A banshee bound in shadows stares at you, then suddenly emits a high-pitched
screech at you. The soundwaves pierce into your very being, weakening you in
both body and mind.
You are jerked awake by the pain.
3431h, 4672m, 3580e, 10p elrkdbp-
Ceres leaves to the in.
3431h, 4672m, 3580e, 10p elrkdbp-
You must regain balance first.
3431h, 4672m, 3580e, 10p elrkdbp-
3431h, 4672m, 3580e, 10p elrxkdbp-
You stand up and stretch your arms out wide.
3431h, 4672m, 3580e, 10p elrxkdb-
Ceres arrives from the in.
3431h, 4672m, 3580e, 10p elrxkdb-
You feel your will manipulated by a pooka bound in shadows.
Clutching your temples, you squeeze your eyes shut and chant as your mental
reserves are channeled into your body.
5567h, 2136m, 3580e, 7p lrxkdb-
You are recovering equilibrium and cannot move yet.
5567h, 2136m, 3580e, 7p lrxkdb-
Eyes flashing with anger, Ceres points a finger imperiously at you and utters a
series of guttural croaks. A strange thrumming fills your stomach, and you
watch in horror as warts break out over your skin which then turns green and
slimy. The world seems to suddenly become much larger...or are you becoming
smaller? Hmm, why do you have a sudden craving for flies?
874h, 874m, 874e, 7p elrx-
You are a toad! The only thing you can do is move and ribbit.

Ceres, you can come around and say "Yes Eiru, run." But only do that when you have the right to say that, I bet 80% of all your arena fights ended in draws, not to mention every time someone attacks you run like a b%$%h with your tail between your legs, all you're good for is jumping people on astral when they've lost link or cannibalizing with pooka then toadcursing it seems.

On a sidenote, to the admins and coders and those who run things, will this ever be changed?

Very lame. Shame on you Ceres.

You speak as if she had never used such cheap tactics before. biggrin.gif
As long as skills like Cannibalize and Transmute remain forceable, they will only be abused as often as people like Ceres sees fit, simply because they can.
Silvanus2005-05-12 21:27:43
She also forces me to empty vials.

Personally, I wish some people would go back to Achaea, as it seems all idiots that have ever come to Lusternia has been from Achaea.
Unknown2005-05-12 21:30:35
I don't see how this is lame... Its a good strategy.
Marsu2005-05-12 21:34:50
Erm, maybe because its practically an instakill using YOUR power? Granted some of hers too but you know what I mean.

See the part where it was instant and unvoidable? Feats that cost powers shouldn't exist if all it does it allow those who can abuse it use against you. This is as cheap as dilute, shieldsmash, or force empty vials, at least the Aquamancers had the decency to ask for dilute to be removed so more people won't be as tempted to go around abusing it at their leisure.

It's lame because it's a cheap win which requires no skill and which no skill on the part of the opponent will eliminate.
Ceres2005-05-12 21:43:43
Yawn.

It's not like that killed you.
Thorgal2005-05-12 22:03:25
Feats shouldn't be forcable and selfishness should stop you from emptying vials sad.gif.

Agreed.

The part with her running in should have been a huge give away. Next time either chase her and attack, sit down, or writhe.

Right, those are the ways to stop the trick. But the point is that skills like Transmute and Energylink I dont ever use. It's just wrong that having those skills is actually a disadvantage.

And what is wrong with making them not forceable by pooka? You, or Narsrim, have had no problems winning your fights without resorting to such cheap tricks.

Elryn2005-05-13 04:05:07
One thing... if pooka doesn't use equilibrium (which I think it doesn't from what I remember) what would people think about changing that? That would stop the insta-toadcurse.

Also, I REALLY want a skill in discipline that allows you to set how much power will drain from your reserves into your prompt. For example,

ex- POWERCAP 4
From now on you will prepare no more than 4 power for instant use.

That way you can avoid losing so much power from conglutination or forcing.

Just a thought.
Shiri2005-05-13 04:08:09
Pooka shouldn't take eq, because it's ALREADY quite hard to toadcurse anyone with a decent amount of mana, and pooka tricks are part of our (pretty bleak) offence, it just needs a couple of speedbumps such as no-feats etc.
Maedhros2005-05-13 05:49:35
Does Pooka remove shield/rebounding?

Imagine getting rebounding up and then forcing a Knight to Haymaker. Yeesh, he gets hit 4 times and wastes 10 power.
Shiri2005-05-13 05:59:16
Yes, pooka does remove rebounding.

EDIT: ...wait, no it doesn't. Sweet.

And how often will you catch them on-balance?
Shiri2005-05-13 06:21:58
When you walk in. (Or use it to screw truehealing people. AHAHAHAH.)
