Thank you, Admin for making our two new villages!

Since no one decided to thank you for them, I suppose I will. It is much more fun, and we get to learn a tad bit more of Krokani and Aslaran culture, while we get to play with the new quests. biggrin.gif

And imo, the Paavik quest is rather freaky... and really long...

Edit: Make that also really confusing...

i can't wait to explore the krokani village and try to find hints as to why they were able to push back the taint and nobody else tongue.gif
Tatiana2005-05-30 08:54:32
yay! Thank you Admins! biggrin.gif I haven't tried any of the quests yet but it looks like fun happy.gif
Shoshana2005-05-30 09:00:42
Yay thanks for the villages biggrin.gif. Hooray, another couple of quests for me to me to be clueless about how to do (I vaguely figured out part of Stewartsville once, but I'm completely useless at quests where it doesn't tell you exactly what to do *snicker* *loves Angkrag*). Logic? Pah.

But yeah, love what I've seen of the krokani village, I like the culture there, and it's nice to see more of such a rare race... Are they going to be mutually exclusive like Ankgrag and the dwarven villages?

Damnit where is the betyl!

...thanks smile.gif.

Indeed, I think it's really cool that we have more villages.
Thorgal2005-05-30 10:24:25
I shall not rest before Magnagora has the village of Shanthmark under its control!

Kitties! wub.gif

I can't believe Glomdoring failed to get Shanthmark, considering they had a frick'n headstart.
Jack2005-05-30 12:00:26
Bah. All the cool stuff happens when I'm away from home and on a crappy computer. (Best client available, of course, being JAVA.)

Nontheless, sounds awesome. I guess it has the same deal as Angkrag - Southgard/Rockholm, in that the city or commune that owns one cannot own the other, right?
Unknown2005-05-30 12:11:07
Well Shanthwhatever opposes the other village so hey.
Unknown2005-05-30 12:59:35
My only qualm with the new villages is that there aren't any krokani named Turonga Leila.

Not yet. Maybe that's unintentional; I don't know. It's not that you can't own the other, but rather it is harder to take a village if its rival(s) are loyal to you. Right now the rivalries are:
Acknor - Estelbar
Delport - Stewartsville

Then it gets messy:
Southguard hates...
* Rockholm
* Angkrag

Rockholm hates...
* Southguard
* Angkrag

Dairuchi hates...
* Ankgrag

Angkrag hates...
* Dairuchi
* Rockhold
* Southguard

I like the villages, but I didn't like that headstart Glomdoring recieved, that was just poor play in my opinion.
Erion2005-05-30 13:56:49
They needed it. You got 1/2 of the open villages, they got one village because of said head start.

And it's not ABSOLUTELY 100% IMPOSSIBLE to own opposing villages. The influencing just takes longer. Mag has both Stewarts and Delport, I do believe. They oppose. Angkrag/Dairuchi oppose. I guess over the silk trade? Iunno. They own both of them. I would not be surprised if the Glomdoring ends up holding both of these villages.
Singollo2005-05-30 14:06:29
If they can't get them without divine headstart, then they don't deserve the villages.
Erion2005-05-30 14:10:03
Honestly, that coming from a Serenwilder, makes me want to laugh so hard I cry.
Singollo2005-05-30 14:16:52
Name when we were given a village for free from a divine then, Erion.

I remember there being a thing about whoever holds Angkrag not being able to have Rockholm/Southgard though, no matter how hard they try. Which would be why Magnagora has neither of them, I imagine.

That was never the case. It was always merely harder to take a rivalry once rivalries were implemented. The reasoning for it is mathematical. Since you typically only have one village open at a time, if you are merely slightly better than the other cities then you will be predisposed to monoplizing every village if all villages are equal, which defeats the purpose of villages. This makes it graduated so that you need to be good to take some villages, really good to take more than half, and godly good to take them all, etc.
