Well since I dont have an envoy and speaking to Gregori makes me ill. (I luv ya though) I have an idea for roots. Instead of what it does now, have it root your enemies to the ground preventing certain forms of teleportation like flow and spores and hermit.

And fix Blacktalon demesne on Ethereal. If I get flung into one more damn totem....

That ability already exits. It's in Night, and costs 10p, and only works on one room.

I see roots, and I think "Kunta Kinte!"

But yes, Shiri is right.

Yeah, I have done it, but I have never seen it work.

Vis is convinced it doesn't work too, but I KNOW it works, at least sometimes, because I tried to flow out of it and got some message I can't remember about shadows grabbing me. (And it wasn't choke.)

How's it broken?

It would work like other demesne effects and wouldnt be constant. Hell roots needs to do something.

Doesn't it hurt those who are burrowed? Sounds like something to me.
Elryn2005-05-26 07:23:31
It just needs to work like it is supposed to. That is quite good enough.

How would it not be constant? And hey, a 10p ability that sticks in one room should NOT go throughout a whole demesne for 0p. It just needs to actually WORK.
Sylphas2005-05-26 16:17:57
I can't say I've ever had a problem with people burrowing in my demesne, but I'd be perfectly happy if Roots did what it was supposed to. Having a skill that does absolutely nothing is no fun.

Tell me about it. *kick sparkles* *kick stars* *kick fireworks if I ever bother to get it*
Terenas2005-05-26 17:01:14
What are you talking about?

Stars is one of the most annoying illusion to use in fighting, it literally takes up a whole screen worth of text whenever it goes off, not to mention it's uncureable. Sparkles/Fireworks have no other use besides celebration or fun purposes, but then again, at least they work.
Sylphas2005-05-26 17:07:15
Yes, I didn't mean nothing as in "not useful", I meant nothing as in "not a damn thing but a rather plain message".
Acrune2005-05-26 17:13:48
Well, the end result is the same. wink.gif

Provokes the responce: "Well... thats dumb"

But yeah, I agree. Personally, I think #1 priority for a bit should be to make everything work exactly how its supposed to. Then, from there, work on balance issues and things like that. That way, things wont have to be re-balanced when stuff starts working again. Doesn't seem to be the way things want to work though.
