Now you can safely stand around like a moron!
Ashteru2005-05-26 21:54:02
Now please add that Aquamancers and Geomancers can't demesne on Ethereal, and all is okay.
Gregori2005-05-26 21:55:51
Suggest everyone learn thirdeye, otherwise the whole "siege" problem that Visaeris cried about is going to end up alot worse.
Now, not only can people stand outside your area. You don't even know they are there till you walk into them!

Yep. And you can't fly over, climb over, or sprint through. Good to hear you can still see them on thirdeye, though.
Richter2005-05-26 22:05:13
Archways are good news, but you can't fly or burrow over/under?

Not if it's like all other non-standard exits.

It's a solution to the problem. Time may show that it's not the right solution. but it's an attempt at a solution, which means they recognise there's a problem.
Daganev2005-05-26 22:09:28
If you use flow and and fight you need thirdeye anyways.
Richter2005-05-26 22:34:54
Perhaps I'm missing something, but I was under the impression that thirdeye only lets you see hidden people.
Sylphas2005-05-26 22:41:18
Also gives locations on the who list.
Richter2005-05-26 22:53:56
...
I haven't used that since Aetolia, I forgot about that completely.

Um, ok, so dreamweavers aren't supposed to have a role in the Ethereal plane?
Well, there goes my shortlived months of usefulness.

My guess is that dreambodies can't go through the archways, so you can't sit at a safe location while dreamformed.
Richter2005-05-26 23:47:27
They can't enter the arches in dreamform, he means. Aye?

Ah, that's a bug that's easily fixed!

If the Champions quest on ethereal defaults to the current controller in the event of a tie, and it's no longer possible to get into the opponent's side and kill their champions, isn't having an insider/spy type person capable of killing them the only way to have it change hands now? Sounds like a bad thing to me.
All Glomdoring really needed if you ask me was some help raising the totems.
