Beauty resides in this corner of my mind
Twirling her shadows across my back
While candles burn throughout the room
Each lone light dancing in the eve of dawn
Silence partakes itself on my soul
Casting the waves of destiny to the fire
And slaying her cruel brother, Fate
To give me a moment of peace
Slowly, the eve creeps into the room
Sewing her hair of pale reds and quiet blues
Into the curtains of my eyes and the seams of my lips
And kisses my forehead lightly
The scent of dew lays heavy on the air
While the sun lifts its hands to praise the new day
Speaking prophecy to those who would listen
Blessing those who would hear
It is midday now, almost five to three
The evening already castings its glow across my face
Readying my mind for the slumber it has in store
While story tales whisper from my fingertips
Even the eve can not last forever
Readying itself for its eternal fall
As night takes her place on her throne
To stare down through the opened window
A soft breeze stirs the waltzing candles
Causing their ballet of orange and blue
To embrace my sleeping body
While I await for the coming of tomorrow.
