I can't stress enough how important it is not to go AFK for long periods of time. Especially if you happen to have a few enemies around realms.

You tug upon the aether strands around you, searching for one that connects to
Aragrot.

You have recovered equilibrium.

You teleport along the aether strands to Aragrot.
Upon the Isle of Light.
The bright sun shines down, blanketing you with its life-giving warmth. Trooper
Aragrot is here. He wields an iron military broadsword in his left hand and a
demonic scorched shortsword in his right. You see exits leading northeast,
east, southwest, and northwest.

You change your mind as Avechna whispers in your mind an inquiry on if you wish
first declare aggressions.
3820h, 1784m, 2476e, 7p elrx-hack down aragrot
You declare your intent to bear arms against Aragrot.

Upon the Isle of Light.
The bright sun shines down, blanketing you with its life-giving warmth. Crisp
white sands meet crystalline water on this quiet beach; small pebbles and
pearlescent seashells litter the silky sand, sending a silent beckoning for
further exploration. Roaring tides lap at the almost translucent sand, and the
light reflects effortlessly of its immaculate surface. The sand continues to
the east and further to the northeast. Trooper Aragrot is here. He wields an
iron military broadsword in his left hand and a demonic scorched shortsword in
his right.
You see exits leading northeast, east, southwest, and northwest.

hack up aragrot
Letting an exquisitely crafted draconic broadsword droop, you suddenly heave it
up at Aragrot. You hack into his gut, which opens up and pours blood in a pool
at his feet.

Letting an exquisitely crafted draconic broadsword droop, you suddenly heave it
up at Aragrot. You hack his belly, merely scratching the flesh.

a bloody mask.

With a heavy overhand stroke, you slam an exquisitely crafted draconic
broadsword down upon Aragrot. You open up his scalp with a mighty hack,
revealing the skull beneath.

3820h, 1784m, 2476e, 9p ex-hack down aragrot
With a heavy overhand stroke, you slam an exquisitely crafted draconic
broadsword down upon Aragrot. You cleanly hack off his scalp, revealing the
bloody skull underneath.
The final blow proves too much for Aragrot, who falls to the floor a broken,
bloody mess.
You have slain Aragrot.
Your karma falls in response to your deeds.
The voice of Avechna whispers in your mind a warning about initiating combat
with Aragrot.

What's worse is that the poor bugger didn't pray for about 5 minutes after. I feel kinda guilty

...but not very...
Maelon2005-06-01 03:57:52
He was recently unenemied to the city at least, but I still find it hard to believe he was afk on the Isle of Light, connection problems more likely.
Ialie2005-06-01 04:12:53
nope. A trigger reacted. If he was deadlinked his triggers wouldn't go off.
Unknown2005-06-01 04:25:37
That is pretty harsh.

er... right. Yeah, that's a good long while of afk in, while not perhaps enemy, not exactly the friendliest territories either. So many people jumping the ones collecting sand...
Unknown2005-06-01 04:39:19
Well, I think he cheats in some manner or another.
He always leaves the room as soon as he is attacked in a fair fight... but there is no exit message, even once when I caught him and he wasnt shrouded. Not to mention he pops up out of nowhere, and can jump continents in seconds. If he had uber tarot, maybe, but as a Trooper, I suspect foulplay. I haven't issued yet because I really have no proof.

He killed 7 Serenwilders in a RL day at one point, getting us rather pissed off. 3 were novices, or just out of novicehood. IC, I see it as my duty to hunt him down, and not stop until justice has been done. Nothing harsh.
Marcalo2005-06-01 05:29:29
well he may have a Transplanar cubix? or a prism? nothing to foul about those *pats his own cubix* but ya going afk for long periods is just retarded, and he deserved to die, as does anyone who goes afk for long periods piss's me off when i am trying to talk to some one and they are afk then i log off come back 6 hours later and they just then respond. and yes you know who you are *peer*
Sylphas2005-06-01 05:54:41
Cubix gives exit message.
