I just found out the weirdest thing about squinting.

It seems that not only does 'squint ' work, but so do 'squin ', 'squi ', 'squ ', and 'sq '! Isn't that just the weirdest thing?

Doesn't really deserve a topic, but I had to share.

That's nothing.
You don't have to type INVENTORY, you can type INVEN, INV or even I. And you don't have to do NORTH to go north, simply N will do.

Now THAT is weird.

Didn't know about SQUI, etc, but I've always used SQ.

Heh. I don't even have to do that. I'll I have to do is push the "8" button on my numpad! Amazing!

now I have to retrain my fingers to do SQ instead of SQUINT... but I might keep typing SW and walking into danger, or maybe SA and triggering my full-automated combat system which features MOONBURST $$tar 20 times.

I've been using SQ rather than QL since the early days of Aetolia. When Imperian opened, I couldn't figure out why SQ wasn't working. Then, one day, I learned some perception, and OMG, it WORKED!

We need upgrades, this isn't enough. How can we live in a world that doesn't take our typos into account? I demand that on top of sq squ squi squin and squint, the system starts taking into account SUQ STUIQN SQIUNT SU SQI SQNT STNUIQ and all those others.

Those are some serious typos, Kidaen. Perhaps you should look into a specllcheck-as-you-type program?

This was more of a problem in another mud where emotes make you become visible... but I hated rushing through an area and doing ES intead of SE and EN instead of NE. EN would always do the Envy emote and ES gives me a nice list of arena events. :cry:

Meh. I just set aliases to everything.

1 is for "Sip Health"
2 is for "Sip Mana"
3 is for "Invoke Circle"
4 is for "Moonburst $T"
5 is for "Nature curse $T"
6 is for "Sip Fire"
7 is for "Sip frost"
8 is for "Rub (whatever item I can think of"
9 is for "Cure me {random/inactive= random/active} ((Ish my secret healing...never works but it looks nice!))
= is for "order entourage kill $t"

So when I make all my trigger thingies, I just put them all in a row, depending on what I want, and WHAMMO!........lots and lots of lag.

I had aliased "ts" for "TOUCH SHIELD" in achaea, and when I came here it was such a reflex I aliased it to "INVOKE CIRCLE"

Heh. I have mine as "pen" and "vo" from playing an Aquamancer still. Problem with that being I still call it "shield" and "void." And people get confused when I say void, because they want to hear nullify.
