Well, I thought about one thing. Couldn't the karma stand be rped? It's best I give an example for what I mean.
Testie: Ashteru

50 % Karma: Ash is in his normal state, nice, lazy, not too much caring 'bout anything

Bad Karma:

40 - 50 % Karma: Ashs mood gets lousier, he doesn't refill if someone asks on ct for example, he doesn't help guildnewbies and so on.

30 - 40 % Karma: Ash really gets depressed, thinking about his life and all, not helping if someone calls for help on ct.

20 - 30 % Karma: Ash slowly starts to develop some kind of paranoia, rarely seeing 'shadows', the souls of the denizens and players he killed, when he turns around fast and so on.

10 - 20 % Karma: Now Ash sees the shadows constantly, creeping out of corners and out of dark places, grabing for him, he's slowly drifting away in insanity, babbeling uncoherent things about the touch of the grave and such things.

0 - 10 % Karma: Ash is now a total wreck, easily influenced, and if no one else his with him, he just sits in a corner, his cudgel in front of him and cursing the shadows and whatever.

Good Karma:
50 - 60 % Karma: Ash is really cheerfull, helping newbies and teaching novices of his guild.

60 - 70 % Karma: At this point, he sings sometimes, gives away handkisses and always stops for a talk with communemates and such things.

70 - 80 % Karma: Ashteru asks everyone he knows if he could do something to help, he walks around giving gold and things to poorer fellows, his mood couldn't sink for anything.

80 - 90% Karma: He is totally thrilled, would probably party all day long, inviting everyone to join him.

90 - 100% Karma: He'd go into death with a smile on his face several times, if he could just help another person for it.

Okay now, I know, that concept is as far from perfect as it could be, and the good part isn't really that logical and so on, but it's just an idea, and I'll probably play Ash that way.
Any suggestions/comments would be appreciated. smile.gif

I don't understand how you can be under good karma, so good that you go get a blessing, and then suddenly get all depressed and sullen...

I don't know, I'd NEVER play this way, just because it is so tied up in game mechanics. I'm not going to role play being depressed because I helped kill people spreading Aquamancer demense and got cursed 3 times and had to get rid of them all.* In fact, that would be COUNTER to my character's RP, who is set up to not care at all about any personal loss for a city gain.

*Note, none of those that I got status on during said event have cursed. This has raised my respect for them, as it was clearly a 'war-time' scenario, the kind which I'd never even consider cursing someone for. biggrin.gif

I just took it as an example. For certain people bad karma could be...good? unsure.gif
Well, anyways, I thought I'd try to play this way just because it IS a game mechanik. And it doesn't do very much besides being used to curse or get blessed. *shrug*
