Falling asleep constantly, unconscious from passing out constantly all from passive effects. Geomancers need some upgrades, they're not strong enough.

I had metawake and conicousness on, and I still had about 4-6 seconds of being out of play.

My real problem is with dreamweaving.

Just because something kills you, doesn't make it "overpowered". The "A sudden shiver shoots up your spine" bit, that's the undoing mote, yes? I ask because I've not fought many dreamweavers. Anyway, if it is, you had punctured aura nearly the entire time, saw him repeatedly flicking undoing at you or having undoing come up from the demesne, and you still complain that all your defs got stripped?

As for falling asleep, that does seem quite nasty. But then metawake and consciousness are... wait for it... defences, aren't they? Hmm.

But I could just be shooting out of my bum here, as I say my dreamweaver experience is close to nil and, as I said, the sleep seems pretty nasty if you stay in the demesne too long to let it get bad.

It's more along the line of uncureable, unavoidable afflictions that bug me. Any other class you can cure with potions or herbs, or health. Against a Mage/Druid, particularly a Geomancer who can give both hunger and tiredness, there is -no- full proof defense against them, except for being a Dreamweaving Viscanti Geomancer. It doesn't matter if constitution halved poison gas' effectiveness, or metawake allowing you to wake up instantly, the fact of the matter is that in the long run, you will lose, no matter what.

It isn't so bad outside of the arena since you can run, and most likely will, to get foods or sleep, but inside the arena you are screwed, especially if a Geomancer demesned the entire arena (*coughKaervascough*).

Yeah, the passives you mentioned look annoying, particularly in arena. But then, who cares about the arena? I was mostly commenting on the defence stripping, as it looked like that's what the original post was most complaining about.

You do realize you died to damage because hunger was doing over 1000 damage in some instances right? Not to mention that it was stealing your equilibrium and knocking you unconscious.

Well, it looked like you got killed by tiredness/hunger on top of Borca's damage, not because you lost some defs. Their defense stripping is powerful, but it isn't extremely deadly since you could always redef, it's the uncureable combination of poison gas and deepsleep/mist that are overpowered, not defense stripping.
