Molting- Passive ability.
Syntax: MOLT
Crow is far more adept in the air than many other clumsy creatures that by comparison are simply falling slowly. This defense gives you a 15% chance to resist attempts to pull you out of the air, raining some black feathers down upon your adversary instead.

Scarecrow- Exit blocking/miscellaneous ability.
Syntax: CROW SCARE
CROW DECOY
While Crow is far too clever to be fooled by a simple mannequin, the same is not always true for his enemies. If you have 2 wood and 2 cloth in your inventory, when an enemy attempts to leave the room, there is a chance they will see you in front of them blocking their path, though it is actually a decoy of yourself.
This decoy is destroyed instantly if hit, assuming you are not in the room. If you are, there is a 10% chance the decoy will be struck. The decoy is magically animated to a small degree, and making a new decoy will destroy any older ones you have set up.

Crowform- revamp.
Syntax: CROWFORM
You will wrap yourself in your cloak of crow feathers, and then break apart into a large number of crows. While in this form physical attacks upon the crows will do a small amount of damage to you, though you can also be harmed by violet low magic or kether in highmagic. A direct physical attack on your body is not possible, though your presence will be obvious. You can fly while in crow form.

Har. For the breaking into a Murder part. I guess we'd be talking serious willpower drain, equal to or greater than dreamweaving. And, what would other people in the room see?

A ghastly murder of crows floats here.

And if they had whatever the highmagic/lowmagic abilities are to let you see ghosted/dreamforms, they'd see the same, but when they looked at it, they'd see "soandso's spiritual presence hangs over them."

Har. I like 'em, though.
Unknown2005-06-02 01:08:28
That's the idea. It's basically ghost, except you can fly, and people who don't have kether/violet can attack the crows to do less damage than kether or violet would.

Crow form currently is maybe not even worth the power. Cheaper eyepeck, but eyepeck isn't really worth doing anyway so hey. I would be a happy guy if any of these skills went in.

I like Molt. smile.gif

The other two are just clones of Ringwalk and Ghost. Does Crowform give no stat increase or regeneration?
Unknown2005-06-02 01:37:12
As for cloning ringwalk, that's the idea entirely smile.gif Crow needs a skill like that.

Crowform doesn't have a stat increase, though it does give level 2 regen while flying. Which doesn't stack with trill level 2 regen while flying sad.gif

That sounds like a bug... you should get lvl 3 regen.
Unknown2005-06-02 01:51:23
It probably is a bug, but I doubt they're going to fix it when it effects just one player sad.gif
Erion2005-06-02 01:57:24
Well, not JUST like ghost. If you used LOOK you'ld see a murder of crows flying about. A hint something's there.
Sylphas2005-06-02 02:03:16
You can see ghosts too.

And if you upgrade Crowform, Stagform better get something too. Flying, 2 levels of regen while doing so, and cheaper abilities? Seems just about as good as Stagform.
Erion2005-06-02 02:14:44
Right, but only with a high/low magic ability, right?
Sylphas2005-06-02 02:59:02
No, QL. Just not who it is.

New skill:

Split tongue (5p):

Take on a new language of your choice. You will now speak and understand this language as if it were your native.
Ceres2005-06-02 13:26:56
I just know that people like Narsim would find another use for a split tongue.

Not really considering we already get Flying before Crowform. So we get level 2 regeneration when flying and cheaper abilities. While Stagform gets level 1 health regen all the time, plus 1 Dexterity, Gore, and cheaper power cost for abilities.
Unknown2005-06-02 14:03:16
Flight is the first skill in crow. If you compare them it's pretty obvious stag form is better, they made crow with the idea of having it be roughly equal to stag (back when stag was the worst skillset in the game), then upgraded stag in the envoys but Crow hasn't had an envoy yet. I assume that this version of crowform wouldn't give a decreased power cost or regen, though maybe there would be some kind of murder attack possible while in the crow form.

Another take on the scarecrow ability is a wall style skill, except the wall looks like you blocking the exit smile.gif That would be quite amusing, though having one passively appear ringwalk style would be more useful.
Gregori2005-06-02 21:35:48
Scarecrows work -against- Crows... not for them. I already had a Stag idea for that, but anyways ya.. For Crow users to have a skill called Scarecrow that works -for- them is, to steal a phrase from Thorgal...Retarded.
