so i was thinking dwarfs being natural craftsmen in any form of books or stories, maybe dwarfs could get a bonus to trade skills like it takes them less comms to create items because they know how to best work them?

ohh and that race of crystal people maybe get a enchanting bonus? since they are magical creatures? that would be nifty

Dwarf already equals own man. Resistances versus most damages. 15 con, 12 int, 10 dex, level 1 slower balance, lvl 1 exp. C'mon man, that's just nuts already.

My response to this, is not every -race- is good at -skill-. This is proven by the fact that when I was in college, hanging with some Japaneese foriegn exchange students, I was stunned that some of them sucked at ping pong, and some of them were horrible at DDR.

I thought it was like:

Help Asian
Size 8 Dex 20
Has a level 5 DDR bonus
Has a level 3 ping pong bonus

...but that wasn't true.

So. I, as a Faeling, am a better smith than some dwarves will ever be. No bonus!

I have a normal sized head, the ego of the character is appropriate, the player somewhat less, and the racial sterotyping bonus was nerfed at that point.

I still think races shouldn't get tradeskill bonuses!

The only tradeskill in which dwarves should get bonuses in is obviously production of dwarven bread. That is cooki... pardon me, forging.

Dwarves should get a +1 to Mining, what does it do, nothing, does it change anything, no. Can we Mine? No chance in hell, why put it in, why not? Or instead give Dwarven warriors who wield axes get like a some cool stats, +1 con, +2 str, -4 Dex, -2 Int, -1 Cha. Since ya know Sterotypical Dwarves are with Axes or Hammers, well all the ones i've seen, though if it was Bonecrusher, a wee bit overpowered.
