Well, I didn't just die there, but seeing it on the IRC I just thought, after a village turns, can it like...not be counted territory for another 10 minutes or something? All the Celestians and Seren that just got pwnt lost extra experience for enemy territory. Not so fair.
Acrune2005-06-03 03:50:06
Or maybe the villagers chuck everyone who didn't just win the village OUT of the village. Dunno, just throwing out an idea.
Shiri2005-06-03 03:58:04
Or that. I just feel sorry for everyone who lost all that stuff. Heck, I lost 80%, don't want to lose any MORE. :/

mags did kinda go ape, but it was more out of frustration because for most of the time ya'll sat in peaced rooms so they gotcha when they could.

Influencing isn't meant to be totally about combat, and it annoys that you view sanctuary as depriving Magnagora of kills. With that demesne, and the forces we had to array against yours, we needed those sanctuaries.

Yeah, that was fun.
My summon sure did fail.
It's a good thing I like playing tae'dae.
As sanctuary goes up, our deaths go down. As sanctuary goes down, our deaths go up. In neither case is the condition of our enemy modified.
Yes. We were absolutely sitting in sanctuaried rooms.
There really wasn't any complaining that Mag got to kill all of us in their demense, take the village, lose few people and less experience, and kill every dwarf in Southgard, was there?

Because seething with pent-up rage because you can't mindlessly slaughter your enemy often enough in a text game is a perfectly healthy way to spend your free time
Bau2005-06-03 15:23:45
Villages should be a combat-free zone for a certain amount of time after they are influenced.
Unknown2005-06-03 15:30:03
If it chucks you out you'll whine that you wanted to kill stuff before they got guards and a statue up, if it doesn't count as enemy territory you'll whine that people have 10 minutes of free killing to do there after you win. Serenwilders are such sore losers
Shorlen2005-06-03 15:59:02
Next time, we give everyone who was helping us a spore to the Serenwilde I have a built-in reflex (not a trigger, a reflex. Gods, I've been playing this game too much) to snort the second the village is lost, or to move and snort. It involves jamming on my Numpad_0 key frantically.
