What about having a new area that represents the heart of the dreamscape? This place would be called the Dreaming, another continent on the Ethereal plane that is otherworldly and dreamlike, but as dangerous as the Astral plane in its subtle charms.
You would enter this area by paying a toll of some kind to the Aspects of Crow/Hart, or the elemental Lords, or alternatively dreamweavers can enter by use of one of their skills.
The Dreaming would extend over a relatively large area, and various quests will be found therein, some which will effect the physical world. Most importantly, it would be swarming with various lesser beings of the dreamscape - phantasms and spirits of incredible power. They would be of might equal to that of Astral creatures, and they will be aggressive, but not with physical attack. They will aggressively attempt to convince any intruder that they should stay forever in the dreamscape, forsaking the real world. This will be countered by weaken influencing (with new messages, maybe?), overpowering them in a battle of wills. Certain creatures will also deal other attacks while influencing, casting sleep, draining ego, transfixing, etc.
Attempting to physically harm the creatures will either work, but they will continue to ego attack you, or my preference - all physical attacks against players or mobs in the dreaming will be ineffectual (You swing a sacramental shortsword at a wavering phantasm. You stumble as your attack passes harmlessly through the insubstantial dreambody of a wavering phantasm.)
I just want an area to make influencing at higher levels feasible. A Serenwilde-based area would be fairer, but this would work since no one organization could claim it.

Yes, that would be interesting. Not sure about the bashing area. We DO need a bashing area like/better than Astral, to be fair. Although I'd just say nerf Astral. (A bit late, though. >_<)

Make em non agreesive and not able to be bashed, though then also all of the astral fighters could probably influence just as well, so it'd become Astral with not agreesive mobs.

How about you cam enter through sleeping? It would leave your physical body vunerable, which i think would make sense if there were quests that affect the physical world in some way.
Also.. how about making some connection to the Manifestations of Dreaming the the physical world? So you need to do a quest for example to make them appear, would make it a bit more challenging to gather sands.

And I love the manifestation idea, as long as it isn't going to set the place into an org vs org war. We've had quite enough of those already. And this place should primarily be a 'neutral' place to gain levels by influence, just as Astral is a 'neutral' place to gain levels by bashing.
