How the sun shines down on your cheek
Corelescing against your skin
Like alabaster dreams given life
Something so simple and yet so breath-taking

The prayers reach from the hidden church
Lost along the silence that threatens the doors
Demanding audience to the eyes
And yet receiving only a bitter contemplation

Life so tragic and yet so blissful
So beautiful that it hurts
To look at you
Like staring at the sun for too long

Laughter lines cross against the stars
While they raise their voices in praise
Of their eternal watch
Hoping that one day they will see the end come

Blind man says he can't see
Says the sky is too far away
But they all know the truth
Someday he'll see like the others

Riddles cast themselves against the rocks below
In the embrace of sea and stone
A sacrifice of untold tales
That will remain serenity's home

Careful, my dear- my dear
Its deep down in that hole you're in
Come up for air and stay a while
I promise the music will end soon

To leave us alone.
