Wallwriting no longer works in manses, because the terrain was changed to aether. Could we perhaps add aether as an acceptable terrain for wallwriting?
Elryn2005-06-08 05:42:16
There aren't necessarily walls to write on.
Richter2005-06-08 05:50:07
True.

Hmph.

I still want it though.

But then again, there doesn't nessicarily have to be written on a wall, it can be scrawled on the ground, on a chair, on a pole, on a piece of paper on Richters back. But yeah, even if it is Aether, there would still be something you can write on.

Glowing on a nearby wall is script that reads, "blah."
Unknown2005-06-08 11:28:15
Just make a magic mouth in every room to say, "there is a wall here, deal with it" then. tongue.gif
Richter2005-06-08 16:06:02
From what Revan said, magicmouths can be dispelled by anyone, dispelleing a wall writing depends on the caster/your skill.
Ceren2005-06-08 20:35:10
what do you mean aether environments have no walls? doesn't an aether room conform to whatever the manse owner wants it be, hence room customization?
Erion2005-06-08 20:36:50
But the room-type is set to be aether. Meaning, it could be a garden. Or underwater.
Ceren2005-06-08 20:42:03
or a room with a wall? dunno.gif
Erion2005-06-08 20:45:15
So, because it COULD be a room with a wall, you want them to be able to write it on the wall - while flying in a cloudless vast emptiness that is the sky?
Ceren2005-06-08 20:48:20
That's true, and another reason why aether rooms should have more customization
Richter2005-06-08 20:48:48
Going to have to agree with Erion here.

Theeeen we go back to the manse terrain argument, heh.
Erion2005-06-08 20:50:49
Honestly, I'd like to see manse customization. Even if it's just aether indoors, aether outdoors, aether topwater, aether underwater.

And that's it. And you can change it between tainted/infested forest/forest as you want.

And charge a crapload of gold for it. A CRAPLOAD.

Like, 200k to change it. Once. smile.gif

Or charge it in credits!
Richter2005-06-08 21:00:16
No. I have 30 rooms that I've already paid out the rear for. 200k per room to change? *SCOFF*
Erion2005-06-09 03:29:23
You can pay 200k more, If you want an environ change. wink.gif
Vix2005-06-09 03:35:52
I'm all for making people pay stuff in bulk gold! Can you say lower credit prices. biggrin.gif

Nope. I can't. Credit demand is high. :-)

Correction, its flying in a cloudless vast emptiness except for that one wall with writing on it over there.
Erion2005-06-09 05:10:03
The wall is actually their thick skull, because some don't seem to grasp the concept a wall will not ALWAYS be there - hell, it's more likely for it to NOT be there.
