According to Munsia, there is a room in Ethereal Glomdoring with 5 saplings -and- a shadow totem. The name of that room is:
Avenue of stunted trees and dripping darkness

Any truth to this?

Not sure about that specific room, but totems have been doubling up for quite a while, Bau's posted about it a bit (amongst others, I'm sure.)
Richter2005-06-08 22:14:43
It's all over Glomdoring as well, so, yes.
Erion2005-06-08 22:20:09
We've bugged it ten times over per person, I imagine. No one has bonded a room with another bonded totem in it, as far as I've seen.
Elryn2005-06-09 00:13:23
Since it is clearly a bug, why are they being mulched/planted?
Unknown2005-06-09 00:14:46
cause some people can't read and keep planting them even though there's already a totem in the same room
Daganev2005-06-09 00:15:00
THe real question is, if its a bug why hasn't it been fixed.
You can't assume its a bug untill they tell you its a bug.
edit: That came out wrong, but I think you know what I mean. what I DON'T mean is that you should keep exploiting what you think is a bug untill they tell you not to.

Because certain Druids are thick, I think. It's not as though they want it to happen. Heh.
Unknown2005-06-09 00:26:17
There are like, 5 posts telling people that they will be outguilded if they do it...
they do it anyway =\\.
they do it anyway =\\.
Xenthos2005-06-09 00:33:59
There are a ton of commune posts saying not to do it, and I've ranted a few times too.
It still happens.
It still happens.
Nayl2005-06-09 08:10:34
God Damnit.
I hate the retards that do it.

I think the main reason is because we cant actually tell who planted the trees, or i'm sure they'd be killed off pretty quickly. On top of that i believe there are certain key individuals who do it on purpose to postpone any chance of furthering the totems within Glomdoring and Eth Glomdoring, well slowing it anyway.
Erion2005-06-09 12:36:46
Or people are just stupid.
Although, Glom's milking a ton of power out of it - think about it. 2 totems in a room. Hopefully the totems that are doubled and rooms w/ a totem and a tree are seperated.

Wouldn't "PUT NUT IN PACK" be easier for that?
Erion2005-06-09 14:26:14
We'd see that. I really think it's a case of SNS. Stupid Newbie Syndrome.
Daganev2005-06-09 20:21:58
Just as a reminder, although I really wish people would stop doubleing up totems, but Glomdoring has about half the amount of rooms as Serenwilde, so its possible its not a bug.
Erion2005-06-09 20:24:42
True.
Sylphas2005-06-09 20:41:55
No, I'm pretty sure Roark or someone Divine asked people to typohere the rooms with two totems, so they could be moved/removed.
