Back to Ideas.

I had a great idea last night, as I often do. I'm not sure something like this would ever get implemented, but it does follow along with the player-driven economy idea.

I think it would be useful if clans or cartels could band together, sort of a company merger idea, or a ownership thing.

I really have no idea what purpose it would serve. Ideas?

So, when I get on tonight, in clanhelp masters, I'm going to put something like:

Subsidiaries: The Black Anvil Forging Cartel
Properties: The Merchant's Guild Tradehall- Deepnight

I'm also going to buy a tailoring cartel I think, give it to one of my merchants, and have it be a subsidiary company as well.

Thoughts?

I, personally, like it. I wish you could have cartels of trades not your own, but, obviously, you can't *use* them. Just for people like you, Richter. biggrin.gif

Yep, which is why I'm giving away a cartel, that still "belongs" to me. It will be listed under the Merchant's Guild subsidiaries.

It might be an interesting idea if your cartel members then have access to all available designs from the cartels merged with your own. Not to mention that your members will have a greater access to newer designs submitted by invididual cartels.

You mean like tailors in the Merchant's Guild being able to see Black Anvil designs?
Shryke2005-06-11 00:59:12
I'm pretty sure thats what he meant
Terenas2005-06-11 02:21:03
That, and if you have multiple forging cartels, be able to forge from all the cartels' designs.
Richter2005-06-11 08:20:19
That would be a neat idea, but I don't plan on owning more than the two forging cartels I already have, I'm going tailoring next.

Next cartel to buy: jewelry. Thank goodness credit prices are at an all-time high, or else I probably wouldn't attempt this.

Anyone have any ideas on corporate integration? I skimmed through the histories, and only found one company reference, I think it was Globglob saying sponsored by the uh... Estelbar Juices, or something?

Don't make ideas then look for purposes for the ideas; look for purposes, or needs, and make ideas to fit those. Makes more sense.

...thanks for the input.
