I've read that they can be enchanted, but I've never seen one for sale or being used. Do they exist? What do they look like? Do you have to wear them?
Sylphas2005-06-11 17:39:50
It's a more vague category than bracelets or rings or something. Brooches I think count, and circlets. They hold 40 charges at least, so I think they're heirlooms.
Unknown2005-06-11 17:43:31
Yes, they are for sale. There was about 10 designs last I checked (public ones that is).
There are some in certain Magnagoran shop...
Horned circlet, dragonfly brooch, seawolf brooch, something like that.

Whoo I designed a lot of the brooches..Yes 40 charges.
Unknown2005-06-11 17:51:11
So how do you wear it? Let's say, brooch, is that instead of a necklace? Or circlet instead of a crown? Or maybe you can just wear one heirloom no matter where?
I've never tried because there were no heirlooms for a long, long time.

wolfen brooch, druidic circlet, kittens brooch (Forget what I named the dang thing)...they are only so far brooches and circlets....I'd like to see maybe some more patterns for that.
brooch goes on chest
circlet on head (can go under a skullcap, not sure on great helms...someone try )

Feros has two heirlooms
Sylphas2005-06-11 18:40:53
They go under greathelms too, I believe.
Vix2005-06-11 21:09:29
You can't wear a crown with a circlet though.

Damnit, I bought my circlet thinking it was a crown, no wonder it could only hit 40 charges. And no, my greathelm won't go on too.
EDIT: Yes it will, but you have to put the circlet on first. I didn't know that. Also, you can't rub the circlet when the helm is on. D'oh.
Athana2005-06-12 00:53:56
Greathelm go UNDER the crown/circlet unless something has changed.

I believe that's a mistake. I know there was a problem with rubing brooches with greatrobes. You should bug it.

It doesn't look like a bug. It says "you cannot rub a blah while wearing a blah." Seems fairly intentional to me.

It was fixed there so I can't understand why it wouldn't be for this. Why couldn't you rub a criclet that was on top of your greathelm? That doesn't make sense.

No, it's -under- my greathelm. I can't put it on top.
Elryn2005-06-12 01:46:20
I can't understand why a circlet is an heirloom, while a tiara is a crown.
Circlet should definitely be under the category of crown, brooch would be better under baubles, and heirloom should be for fun things like instruments, music boxes and treasure chests.

Jewelers making instruments? Weird thought.
Athana2005-06-12 01:49:12
I dunno..like a jewel embedded harp of gold or something like that...it's an heirloom in my opinion
Unknown2005-06-12 01:51:52
Not that I wouldn't like it. It's just a bit weird, to make an instrument, you'd need some knowledge beyond jewelry I think.
