These rooms are empty now
Everyone's gone for the day
With night so close
And nothing more to say
If these rooms could speak
They'd tell of story tales
That not even the realms of imagination
Could rival with their empty shells
These rooms are empty now
Just the shadows that dance across the walls
Like memories left behind
Pouring down like water falls
Each room is open
Their insides shown to the world
With just their whispers left behind
Like oysters without their shells
As I walk passed them
Looking into each one
I watch the windows that stand ajar
To let in the setting sun
Like piano keys left to play their own
Music of silence drifts away
And everything is so blique
Only the empty rooms know what to say
And still I watch the sun fall from the sky
From within one of those empty rooms
Holding my breath for just a moment
Praying that they be filled soon
These empty rooms.

Thank you. Its moving time, and I'm staying on campus for summer classes, and all the rooms in the dorms were basically empty. It was so eerie and so depressing. All my friends had gone, save a few, and most had moved into the three dorms my campus is using for its summer dorm students. So I was justing walking through my hall, before I moved all my stuff into the new room I was moving to, and I was just remembering all the times I shared with all the people I met through the yester school year. It was like watching a movie play, as I remembered some of the good times and bad times. So I wrote this to try and show what it felt like, stepping into those empty rooms and just looking around me, as I remembered.

You definately got the feeling across. Kind of reminded me when the seniors at my high school made our infamous "last walk" - at three A.M., we wandered the school, looking at all the empty classrooms, remembering the past year, and then we wandered the parking lot. We're the last year to actually remember the entirety of the old school, so it was really strange standing next to my Camry and remembering when the building right there had caught fire, and how some idiot was breaking down windows looking for kids.
Anyways, as I said before. Very good.

Aye, 'tis beautifull!
Reminds me of when I left home for college and I'd packed all my stuff up so my room was empty... Its strange... Houses, rooms, homes... They all have the longest memories, till we leave em behind
