Hail, Serenwilde!

I apologize for the use of so much time, but I'm afraid I have an
announcement to make.

Some of you may know me, while others may not. Among those counted on
either side may be those who do not even like me, yet others may find me
pleasant company. Despite any troubles and opinions (whether well or ill
founded), I ask that they be put aside, if only for a moment or two, so
that I might speak a piece of my mind.

Since I was no more than a young child, an orphan amongst the giant
trunks of the Wilde, I have been kept alive - mind, body, and spirit -
by the stories passed down to me. Even my home, the Aredhel, I shaped
from craft that has thus sustained me, and as a Druid, my powers come
from the note of the forest itself. The debt I owe to the Wilde Muse can
never be adequately placed to parchment - a cruel irony, I suppose.
However, despite the lack of ability that may rest within my quill, I do
not give up the quest.

It is thus, in an attempt to repay the gifts bestowed unto me, that I
hereby announce the formation of a new clan - the Bards of the Wilde!

This is a formal call to all Bards of the Serenwilde, whether author,
poet, dancer, musician, or playwright you may be! This is a call to
those who would seek a new level of unification with our forest, the
Serenwilde, the Wilde Muse.

All who are serious about their desire to be creative and to help
imagination blossom as the fruit of the Mother Tree are welcome among
the ranks. Whether for criticism on work, to find actors for your plays,
or to take part in grand performances and festivals, the Bards of the
Wilde will be a place for all those who hear the song of the Wilde Muse
in the back of their minds, driving them on to ever more wondrous
dreams! And so I beckon, join us, and let us bring those dreams alive
for all others.

May the Mother Moon bless you,
May the White Hart watch over you,
May the Serenwilde thrive around you.

Subj: Welcome!

Greetings, Bards!

First, I would just like to welcome you all to what I hope will be an
amazing troupe, and that in a short time, all will know us for our
performances and contributions to the very fabric of life in the Basin.

However, first, we must sort things out. I may have funded this
gathering and have birthed many ideas on my own, however, none of them
will I label concrete until such a time as we have all been able to
speak our minds, as this motley crew is meant to inspire, not enforce
and stifle.

The main things I would like to see from us is activity and camaraderie
- if this is present, then I cannot think us as being anything other
than successful in our existence. We may not be a guild, but I would
like to see us as close as one.

The things we currently need are ideas for structure and activities. Any
input on this is welcomed, whether in private message, letter, meeting,
or through these very boards.

For structure, I am very open, and would like us all to be as
comfortable as possible. Do we wish to separate ourselves based on major
interest? Do we wish to have tiers through which you pass the longer
time you are a participating member? Many things are up in the air until
we get our feet.

Secondly, for activities, is where activity truly plays a part. I would
like to see performances big and small, from spur of the moment plays,
to grand festivals that we ourselves organize and put on. One such
festival which I will admit I am greatly adamant on attempting to see
through, is one that comes with each round of Vestian honors.

As I said, I have ideas and can pluck many more from the firmament, but
this is a place where those who hear the Wilde Muse are gathered to ply
their craft, and as such, I do not intend to turn a deaf ear nor take
the reigns in an iron grip.

May our performances always evoke the dreams of our audience,

Hopefully this will lead to a bit of fun for Serenwilde, where we can flex our creative muscle, get some good RP, and produce a good bit of written work smile.gif

What do you guys think?

Well, Jairdan is enemied to Glomdoring, Magnagora, and Celest.. 2 of the 3 for stupid reasons, so, yeah, he doesn't particularly like outsiders at the moment.
