Direct quote from the trill's help file: "No trill grows hair on their head, rather they have a cap of downy feathers."
Now, I've looked at some other Trill players' descriptions. I know for sure that I've seen one that had hair. I may have seen more, but I'm unsure of that.
Does the part that says "no trill" mean no trill at all, or just no pure trills? It just bugs me that a trill character adds hair to his description when the help file clearly says "no trill grows hair on their head."

Pure - breeding with humans causes hair in merians, I imagine it's the same with Trill.

Many races have no place having human-like hair yet a lot of people playing those races still put it on, just because it's too big a cognitive disjunction to not have it. What's most odd to me is when furry races give themselves human-style hair.

While I was a loboshigaru for practicality, I was never keen on looking like one. Now I'm lucidian that's changed, and my desc utterly changed to match my love for their aesthetics.

Guess it's not a huge deal. The underlying problem, and what really bugs me, is when characters don't look at all like their races (e.g. six foot tall dwarf).

Yeah, trills with hair bug me. To no end.
You see, their head-feathers are described in a way that makes them almost indistinguishable from normal hair, so the trill wouldn't be that weird-looking. But no, some of them still have to go "OMG! I CAN'T HAVE A PRETTY DESC WITHOUT A HUMAN-LOOKING CHAR!" and put the hair there. Geez, if you want to play an angel, go human Celestine. As for 6-foot dwarves - that's the case of people who just play the race for stats. They should have a desc of "He is a stout dwarf and is really a man but he likez dwarv stats lol, and he's so beuitful and you love him." And -10 rolepoints every week of such a desc, at least.

Yeah, the hair thing bugs me. I play trill to get AWAY from the "human-with-wings" stereotype, but it seems to have carried over from Achaean atavians.
The way this is going, it'll end up in the Idiots! section.
