I know some of us came from Achaea, and may still frequent there. I cannot believe Sarapis turned over the realms to another! *sniffle* Maybe this is a sign of something big to come from IRE?
Over 800 people were online for the passing of the torch ceremony, it was quite wild.

True. Could you imagine the mess HE has seen over the years from players?
Lisaera2005-06-18 21:46:18
Sarapis has been slowly phasing out his role as producer of Achaea and moving to higher IRE things - it's not feasible for him to do both anymore.
This was just the final step.
This was just the final step.

I was going to say, didn't he basicly give it up a long time ago anyway...
Amaru2005-06-18 21:57:31
He gave birth to IRE, it's only right he should reap the rewards. Though I never personally liked him much.

Never could have guessed that by what you posted on the Achaea Forums.

Yeah.. I thought that too. I kept hearing about how everytime he came into the realms (which was almost never) he would talk more about what he was buying on ebay or whatever chick he was with, then roleplaying... That's kinda sad, but then I think Achaea's sole purpose was to fill IRE's pockets, so meh.
Maedhros2005-06-18 22:46:48
The son of the pastor at my church had Sarapis as an assistant professor before he made IRE.
...I think .

Who was Amaru in Achaea?
I wanted to log in to get those free neocredits, but I changed my mind. It wouldn't have been worth waiting, as celebrations usually just bore me. The greater they are, the more bored I am. And I share Amaru's aversion towards Sarapis.
Lisaera2005-06-18 23:17:07
Regardless of how you may feel about him as a person, you have to acknowledge the remarkable amount of work and vision that he put in to create Achaea, and the template for the other IRE games. Without him you would not have Lusternia!
Munsia2005-06-18 23:41:25
No Lusternia?! All hail Sarapis then!
Richter2005-06-19 04:26:23
Munsia posted on the forums? *scratch*
And yes, no matter what people think of him, we wouldn't be doing this if it were not for him. I mean, I might have more money, still be in college, have a li... wait a second...
I don't like him either! Nerf Serapis!
...oh, you say that's been done already? Fantastic. *chuckle*

True. Anyhow, I didn't mind Sarapis so much. He even told me that he liked my rather insane name over in Achaea.
Athana2005-06-19 15:29:26
Yes, I always wondered how you came up with that name..
Saikado2005-06-19 17:27:47
I can only base my opinion of Sarapis personally on the one interaction I got from him and that was when I first tried Achaea when it was just Ashton and Shallam, back when the druids and sentinels were based in Shallam O.o god I've dated myself.
Anyways, Romeo and Juliet were both vacant as was anyone else knowledgeable so he showed up and suffered through probably an hour of my newbie like interrogation because I had come from a game that had movement commands and -gasp- emoting...that was really about it aside from being able to purchase items for props.

I heard that hes gunna run the next IRE mud... Anyone know if this is true? Cause everyone seems to say otherwise.

It was the name of a sword from D and D. I will say no more!

Totally untrue, I expect this was made up by someone for the sake of impressing others with their "inside information".
