Okay, a calmer post here.
I've been told no to a newsroom and postoffice, flat out. That sucked. I mean, why not just drop one of those in there, and take some credits from my account?
We've been told no (or long long time later, was it?) to a mob in our manse.
And, if we're going to go by our economy (I have no idea how much credits are on Imp) and taking into the account that credits go for about 5000gp now:
- NEWSROOM - Cost: 10 credits
- POSTOFFICE - Cost: 50credits
- FORGE - Cost: 50 credits
- TROPHYCASE - Cost: 50 credits
- STOVE - Cost: 50 credits
- PRIVACY - Cost: 50 credits
- STOREROOM - Cost: 50 credits
- ENDURANCE Cost: 200 credits
- WILLPOWER - Cost: 200 credits
Willpower and endurance regen cost more (as they should), and trade artifacts are a tenth of the cost (as they should be)
In my humble opinion, Lusternia would make more money making trade artifacts a more manageable price.
Not to mention the indoor/outdoor thing, that probably conflicts with the "aether" terrain.

the housing system in Imperian is completely different. You need to be trans two miniskills to build something, and then it costs some 2,000 commodities to get the room built, the housing is done completely in gold and comms and the like. Each room also has to be individually approved by the building cartels.
Ialie2005-06-22 04:40:06

...as I have no where near enough $$$ or Gold from rats...None of this really matters much to me at all -shrugs- but I have to ask. What DO we have for a housing system here?
Richter2005-06-22 05:34:29
HELP MANSES
And gold isn't that hard, if you have a bit of cash. Fourty bucks, and you can have 500,000 gold.

Saikado2005-06-22 05:40:38
ehehehe problem is...if I had $40, it's going to things that are far far more important than Lusternia, and that'd be $40 less I'd also need to worry about getting.
Richter2005-06-22 05:46:55
It's pretty easy when you work 40 hours a week, and get several dollars more than minimum.
Saikado2005-06-22 05:48:40
I would love to be making minimum -trying to job hunt- but I also have to pay for college so my funds go there first.

Imperian does have a cap on how many houses a city can have though. The cost of gold to actually build them isn't that much, but with the limit at 6 houses per city or something, I would expect the real cost to top out at the level of the richest people in the game spending a majority of their gold.
That said, Lusternia could really use servant mobiles It's one of those things that admin tend to gasp at, even though it would really change nothing, because it just seems like a big deal and they don't want to add any more to their list of things to do.

I honestly wouldn't mind purchasing a mobile that was Loyal to me and maybe did the poofage when I log...

Another thing is houses there get taxed. If you don't pay the tax they probably demolish your house to build a house belonging to someone who will, hence the low price of building rooms
